Both Movistar Plus+ and Movistar Plus+ Lite boast a functionality called ‘Group View.’ With this straightforward option, the platform allows you to create a virtual room where up to four people can simultaneously watch content from its extensive catalog. The beauty of this feature lies in its simplicity, as it requires no unnecessary complexities.
How to Watch in Group
This feature is exclusively available to customers of Movistar Plus+, including those on the Lite platform. Each virtual room can accommodate up to four participants. It’s important to note that to view the same content, all participants must have the appropriate television package, as this feature relies on the availability of the content.
Once you have a clear understanding of these points, let’s explore how you can create a virtual room for group viewing on Movistar Plus+:
1. Access Movistar Plus+ through any web browser (please note that it is currently not available on the operator’s set-top boxes).
2. Choose the content you wish to watch with your friends or family.
3. Look for the ‘Group View’ icon, which usually appears as a screen with people icons located next to the ‘watch now’ button.
Once you click on this icon, a pop-up window will appear, allowing you to configure your profile for entering the virtual room. You will have options to activate your camera, microphone, and set your name. Once you have made your selections, simply click on ‘Create room’ to initiate the virtual viewing experience.
Invite your friends or family
Now that you have set up the virtual room for group viewing on Movistar Plus+, it’s time to invite the participants. On the right side of the screen, you will find the ‘Group View’ section with all the relevant information. At the bottom right corner of this section, you’ll see the ‘Invite’ button. Clicking on it will open a window displaying a shareable link that you can send to up to three people.
To invite others, simply copy the link and share it through your preferred method, such as social networks, email, or WhatsApp. It’s important to note that participants will only be able to join the room if they have access to the same content through their Movistar subscription. If everything is in order, once they access the link, they will seamlessly join the virtual room.
One important detail to keep in mind is that each Movistar Plus+ virtual room has a maximum duration of four hours. If the time limit is reached, the room will automatically close, and you will need to open a new one to continue watching the content.
