However, Samsung is not going to sit idly by and it seems that it will do the same with the Galaxy A series, which is used by the company as part of its strategy to tighten the quality / price ratio. Now, we see that the Korean firm could be behind the Galaxy A12 5G.
The pace of advancement in mobile technology is frantic. It was during the first quarter of 2019 that OPPO presented the first 5G mobile for Europe . For almost a year, this technology has been reserved for the high-end, that is, those terminals with prices that easily exceed 1,000 euros. Apple has released its first iPhone with 5G this year, and operators have more and more offers to connect to the new high-speed networks. Samsung has already launched some cheaper 5G bets in the mid-range, such as the Galaxy A42 5G, however, the eye should now be on the entry range. Shouldn’t cheaper mobiles also have 5G?
Samsung Galaxy A12 5G, the possible answer
It was a few days ago, when the existence of the Galaxy A12 was leaked, an economic terminal from Samsung that will be launched soon and that has a MediaTek Helio P35 processor with 3 GB of RAM. They are unambiguous characteristics of an input range, but this chip does not allow the terminal to have 5G. However, today its possible 5G variant (Galaxy A12 5G) has been leaked on the SlashLeaks portal, thanks to the classic protective cases that usually reveal information about mobile phones not presented, ahead of time.
The protective cases refer to the model name and there is a quad rear camera setup with the LED flash on the bottom. If you are facing the cheapest Samsung terminal with 5G, it should be accompanied by an inexpensive 5G chip. In this sense, it could integrate the same MediaTek 800U 5G of the new Realme 7 5G, although the step could go down even further. Recall that MediaTek has already released the Dimensity 700 5G, as a processor that is called to be the 5G brain of many entry-level terminals in 2021. It is possible that the plans in this regard will be revealed soon, although for the moment and since it is unofficial information, we will have to take the information with the caution it deserves.
