And although we will find different inconveniences, as in every layer of software, such as bloatware and others that will not serve us at all, the truth is that we will have the possibility that they will never access the Internet or use up mobile data.
And it is that they are quite an inconvenience, because not only can they occupy more internal space in our account terminal, but they can connect to the Internet in the background. Even worst of all, they can do it without us noticing this detail. So it will be necessary to be able to ensure that it consumes at least the least amount of data, in the event that we cannot prevent its connection to the network 100%.
Apps that need to access the Internet in the background
As we said at the beginning, the bloatware that is integrated into our Xiaomi smartphones can connect to the network, but they are not the only applications capable of this. And it is that, many other applications, even those that we download from the Google store itself, may also have the possibility of connecting to the Internet without us noticing this element.
For example, we find different software capable of this, as is the case with social network applications or instant messaging, such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp. These in particular, among many others, require connecting to the network in the background to send us a new notification to our mobile device. The same happens with the different email software that we have installed on our phone.
On the other hand, there are other softwares such as, for example, the calculator, the file explorer and even the image gallery of our mobile phone will never need to maintain an Internet connection in the background . In addition to the fact that we also find different game applications that will not need this either, although the vast majority do, especially if there are different notifications within the game that warn us of certain elements.
For this reason, the reasons may be various. One of the most annoying is that a software or a game has a network connection to send notifications periodically. So it is time to find out how to go about restricting Internet access for these applications. In addition, we can do it easily and quickly.
