Largely thanks to the widespread use of the internet, everything related to working remotely is increasingly used. For this we use specific applications specially developed for these tasks, such as AnyDesk.
There is a wide variety of applications dedicated to the types of work referred to as remote desktop. To give you an idea, the Windows system itself offers us its own solution of this type in order to avoid installing others. However, it is somewhat limited compared to third-party remote desktop programs. This is the case of titles as popular as TeamViewer or AnyDesk, among many others.

It is for all these reasons that in these same lines we want to focus on the second alternative mentioned for being one of the most popular. These programs are used by both end users and businesses to remotely manage and control other’s computers . As you can imagine, all this avoids physical displacement, being able to solve possible problems in the PC of others from our computer. It is evident that this type of program and due to its operation, incorporate some important functions related to privacy and security .
But they also try to adapt to all types of users and teams in order to satisfy the needs or knowledge of the majority. The truth is that they are not difficult programs to use, contrary to what it may seem at first. It may also be the case that we work with computers, both local and remote, somewhat limited in terms of specifications or old. Therefore, in order not to work with a remote session full of hangs and jumps , AnyDesk remote desktop software offers us some interesting changes.
Features to work better with AnyDesk on older computers
Once we have downloaded and installed AnyDesk on our old or limited PC, let’s see how to improve the performance of the program . The first thing we do is access the configuration options that the software makes available to us. This is something that we achieve by clicking on the button represented by four horizontal lines that is located in the upper right corner. Next, we just have to opt for the Settings entry.
A new window will appear on the screen in whose left panel we see the sections available to configure this remote desktop application. We place ourselves in the so-called Presentation, which is what interests us in this case. In order to optimize this software and make it work better on old or limited hardware, the first thing we look at is the section called Quality. Here we set and select the Best reaction speed option.

In Display mode we also recommend checking the selector that says Original size . Similarly, in Graphics Acceleration, the best we can do is opt for Direct 3D . It is worth mentioning that these small changes that we made in the application allow it to work a little more smoothly on older PCs, whether it is the source computer or the remote one. In this way we ostensibly improve the experience of using AnyDesk in this type of specific situation. Something that we must take into account is that the client we are talking about here barely consumes system resources at first.
