The longer May 2020 Update has been with us, the more errors appear. It appears that the latest update to Microsoft‘s operating system is not working as well as might be expected. There are more than a few errors that are affecting users who have installed this new operating system and that prevent users from using this operating system normally. And to this list, a new bug has just been added in the Windows 10 Disk Cleanup.
Windows 10 May 2002 Update is initially configured to run the Disk Cleanup on hard drives in the background. Thus, these users can control the space occupied unnecessarily more quickly and easily. However, for some reason this is not working as it should.
Windows 10 Disk Cleanup doesn’t work

There are also rumors that the tool is preventing some hard drives from booting up when turning on the computer, and even that it is deleting files without users’ permission . Although this is nothing more than mere speculation, since Microsoft has not made statements about it.
Solution
To address this issue, Microsoft has released a new tool within its Windows 10 Troubleshooting Toolkit . This new tool is in charge of checking if this tool to free up space is working correctly.
This new tool is programmed in Windows 10 to automatically run twice. The first of these is executed as soon as you install build 19041.21 of the operating system. And the second one after updating to build 19041.84. Users cannot manually run this troubleshooter, so to check if we are affected by this error, we must go to the Settings> Update and security> Troubleshoot menu, and enter the section ” View troubleshooting history ” .
If the Windows Disk Cleanup appears in this section, it means that we have had problems related to this element. And, in addition, we can see if the problem has been automatically solved or not. If nothing appears to us related to the Disk Cleanup of Windows it means that everything works normally.
May 2020 Update: a buggy update
