As the name suggests, this feature assists us in locating specific content within the websites we visit. However, a notable improvement has been introduced to streamline the process of searching for specific words on any webpage.
This feature is not only more precise and functional, but it has also evolved into a nearly constant tool. It will no longer be tucked away in the three-dot menu of the program; Microsoft has repositioned the search function into a much more accessible sidebar, facilitating more comfortable usage.

It’s important to note that this new search bar will automatically display phrases containing the search term. This enhancement aims to enhance the usability of the function, making web searches more effective and valuable.
Moreover, the accessibility and ease of using this feature are further amplified by its placement on the panel we discussed. Simultaneously, there is a keyboard shortcut available to directly access this functionality. By using the Ctrl + F keyboard shortcut, the “Find” function on the page will initiate. Subsequently, a button will appear on the screen to open the function within the sidebar we mentioned earlier.
These developments enable us to set up a filter for search results, displaying content exclusively from the current website, previously visited sites, or other specific pages. Nevertheless, it’s important to bear in mind that, for now, this change is exclusively accessible through Edge’s Canary channel.
This channel offers an experimental browser version, meaning it might take some time before this new feature is incorporated into the stable version of the program.
