It is not the first time that we say that Xiaomi does not make it easy for us when choosing a device. The company makes constant launches with technical variations sometimes very slight and with prices that compete with each other. That is why we wanted to put the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite and the Mi Note 10 Lite on paper , to see their main differences and advantages of one over the other.
Xiaomi’s Mi 10 family has brought a “Lite” variant this year, but it also hasn’t made the “Note” family. That is, in two medium price ranges, the user can choose between the Mi 10 Lite or the Note 10 Lite. There is some crucial difference between the two, which can tip the balance , but in the price section we will see that they are practically tied.

Screen and dimensions
If we take a look at its screens, we see that in the aspect of size, the Mi 10 Lite takes the cake with its 6.57 inches, but the Note 10 Lite is not far behind with its 6.47 inches. Both offer a FullHD + resolution but the aspect ratio varies slightly. The Mi 10 Lite has a ratio of 20: 9 compared to 19.5: 9 of the Note 10 Lite. Both are protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and sport a front notch to house the selfie sensor.
Mi 10 Lite screen
However, there is an important difference that the user has to take into account regarding weight and thickness. The pen award goes to the Mi 10 Lite, which weighs 192 grams and is only 7.9 millimeters thick. The Note 10 Lite for its part reaches 204 grams and has a considerable thickness of 9.7 grams.
Snapdragon brains
When lifting the hood we found a notable difference and one of the most important of the entire comparison. The Mi 10 Lite has a Snapdragon 765G which makes it compatible with 5G networks and gives it a further performance plus compared to its brother, which integrates a Snapdragon 730G. The graphics GPU is also superior in the Mi 10 Lite with the Adreno 620 versus the Adreno 619 in the Note 10 Lite.

This difference is perceived when we pass both terminals through a performance program such as AnTuTu, where the Mi 10 Lite exceeds 330,000 points, but the Mi Note 10 Lite does not reach 265,000. However, the two will offer a similar and very correct performance in their mid-range segment . The two terminals are sold in Spain with versions of 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal storage, without the possibility of expansion via microSD cards.
Difference in megapixels
Turning these devices around we find another important difference between them, this time in favor of the Mi Note 10 Lite. This terminal sports four rear cameras with a 64 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel wide angle, a 2 megapixel macro sensor and a 5 megapixel depth sensor. Somewhat more modest is the Mi 10 Lite with a 48 megapixel main sensor, the same 8 megapixel wide angle and two 2 megapixel macro and depth sensors. However, mobiles sport the same 16 megapixel sensor in the front notch , with which they can capture video in FullHD.

Connections and battery
As for their connections, both have the main ones including NFC and maintaining the 3.5mm jack for headphones . The Mi 10 Lite however has the Bluetooth 5.1 standard compared to its brother’s Bluetooth 5.0. Both have a fingerprint sensor under the screen and have been released with Android 10 based on MIUI 11.
However, another of the big differences appears when taking a look at the battery. The Mi 10 Lite reaches 4,160 mAh with a 20W fast charge, compared to the 5,260 mAh of the Mi Note 10 Lite and its 30W fast charge. This is undoubtedly the cause of the greater weight and thickness of the Mi Note 10 that we saw earlier.
Prices traced
The official prices of these two brothers are exactly the same. That is, the version with 64GB of memory costs 349 euros, and the 128GB variant costs 399 euros . However, if we look at portals such as Amazon, we find them already below 300 euros in its 64GB version.
Which one to buy?
Therefore and seeing that the price is not defining, it is clear that if the user is looking for more advanced cameras or more autonomy , his candidate should be the Mi Note 10 Lite. However, the Mi 10 Lite sports a more advanced processor and is already compatible with 5G, something to keep in mind if we plan to have the mobile for at least two years, since this technology will take off more and more.
