Our mobile experiences a continuous flow of calls and messages. Sometimes we cannot attend to all of them and some of us are left in the pipeline. To try to have full control over what has happened on our mobile, someone thought about the “missed calls” those notifications that inform us about who called us when we could not keep track of the mobile. But you can always go one step further to enhance classic functions.

We could say that the evolution to having a simple message that alerts us to calls or missed messages was the notification led . It is not necessary to read that we have a missed call, if there is a led that lights up to notify us that someone has called and we have not heard. But even so, there are those who have thought of going one step further, such as Samsung and the Smart Alert function, also known as Smart Alert. This is found in the Samsung gestures section, along with other popular functions such as Smart Stay, which allows our mobile to know when we are looking to keep the screen on or not.
What is Smart Alert?
This function is a movement gesture available on Samsung mobiles, which makes the device vibrate when we grab it and we have notifications of missed calls or new messages. That is, it is one more plus of alert so as not to miss anything. If we notice this vibration we will be more careful to see what we have pending. It goes without saying, that any additional function activated has its “drawbacks”. In this case, much more use will be made of vibration, which in the end can have an impact on the battery life.

How active
In order to activate Smart Alert we will have to go to the settings menu, which we can access by sliding up or down to access the applications screen. Then we touch on “Settings” and we scroll to the bottom until we see “Advanced Functions” Once inside we touch on “Movements and gestures” Already in this menu we can see several switches, but the one we are interested in marking will be called “Smart Alert” or “Smart Alert”.

Everything under control
It is not necessary to restart the device for the function to be 100% operational. Now if we leave the mobile and when we return we have a missed call, the terminal will vibrate slightly to warn us, but we can also continue to see the missed call messages as always.
