Even the best battery-saving tricks on the iPhone aren’t getting some iPhone 12s to perform as they should. Although it is not a problem extended to all users, there have already been several open threads in different photos in which there is a warning of a higher consumption than normal in these phones. A more remarkable consumption if it fits in the iPhone with 5G activated.
What causes this problem in the iPhone 12?
It is true that this year’s iPhone have a battery with a lower capacity than its predecessors. Both the iPhone 12, as well as the 12 mini, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max have batteries that should, at least, last a full day. Its autonomy is roughly the same as in the iPhone 11. Could soon be fixed
It is understandable that in new phones, despite the many tests that are carried out, there are some units that take longer to work optimally. In this case, we do not have information from Apple about the solution, but based on what happened on other occasions, it is very possible that the final solution will arrive in iOS 14.3 .
That software version is, except surprise, the next update that will be available for the iPhone 6s and later. It is expected that it can be launched in 1 or 2 weeks, so until then we will not be able to verify if the solution for the iPhone 12 comes. In our particular case, we are testing the third beta of this iOS 14.3 on an iPhone 12 and we are not noticing any alarming consumption.
