Poco X3 with Android 11: Fix Performance Problems after Updating

At the beginning of this week we saw how the first users with a Poco X3 NFC in their pocket could begin to install Android 11 on their devices, although based on MIUI 12 and not MIUI 12.5 as many might expect. Unfortunately some of these customers of the brand are running into the odd uncomfortable performance failure in the phone.

Not all of them, but a high number of users who have installed Android 11 on the Poco X3 NFC have gone to the Xiaomi community forums to share the bugs they have found in the device after updating the operating system. The vast majority agree that the main problems appear in the form of lag , poor fluidity and, in general, performance failures:

After a few days of use there are some problems, lack of fluidity, sometimes there are applications that take time to open or stay blocked for a few seconds, the bubbles work regularly and I have had a couple of reboots “

Updated my Poco X3 NFC today. I feel quite laggy, before it ran lighter, I hope that with a next update it will be corrected.

Of course, we must remember that although some Xiaomi fans work with the MIUI 12 beta based on the latest Android operating system, we are talking about the final stable version for the device that was published this week in Europe.

The solution waiting for another update

Some of those affected by this problem in the Poco X3 NFC have come up with a solution that seems to work and that will serve those who also suffer the failure until the brand releases a patch that fixes the poor performance of the phone. Apparently the origin of the lag in Poco’s phone is in the MIUI Battery and Performance app

To solve it, you will have to restart this app from scratch by clearing its cache and stored data from the phone’s settings. To do this, follow the path Settings> Applications> Manage applications> Battery and Performance> Clean data. Here you select the two options: Clear all data and Clear cache .

Also fix the refresh rate

The adaptive refresh rate of the Poco X3 NFC, which allows setting between 120 Hz or lower frequencies, also seems to be behind the failures that the update to Android 11 of the device entails.

To fix it you must set the default rate to 60 Hz from the Settings menu> Display> Refresh rate. Then restart the mobile and set it again to 120 Hz and check if the mobile works without problems.
