If in the day to day you have numerous pending tasks that can end up overwhelming you, it is best to have the day as organized as possible. With the Planny application we can create a plan of our daily tasks but unlike other applications, it stands out for having an incredible interface and is also intelligent. In this article we tell you all the details of this app that we found in the App Store.
Planny, one of the most beautiful applications of to-do- list
The first time we run this application we will see a first steps option that will inform us of all the actions we can perform in this application. After this we will go to the main window of Planny where we are shown the different lists that we can customize to our liking. It also highlights the list of ‘Productivity’ where if we access we have a series of tables that summarize the different points we have earned when completing homework. This is the way Planny has to motivate us to do our homework and the more we do, the more productive we will be and we will see it reflected in this option.
If we enter the ‘Today’ list we will see at the bottom the option of ‘Add task’ as in any other application since we will have the possibility to give it a title and a specific date. Once it has been created it will appear on the ‘Today’ list if it is a task to do it on the same day or in ‘ inbox’ if it is planned for another day and does not have a specific list to put it in. By clicking on the specific task we will have many customization options. We can create several subtasks, add a deadline, impose a location reminder to let us know for example when we arrive at the supermarket, day changes, notes, labels and even establish a routine. The latter is tremendously interesting and is designed for those tasks that we do regularly and we will save ourselves having to get the task done daily. For example, we could routinely ‘brush our teeth’ or ‘take medication’ which are recurring tasks.
Once we have completed the task we will simply have to make a left shift and mark the okey to go to the ‘done’ tab. With this gesture in addition to being completed we will also add some productivity points that will encourage us to continue doing more tasks.
In any list, if we click on the three points that we find in the upper right we will find some interesting options to have a better experience with the application. These include the ‘daily suggestions’ that will intelligently analyze our tasks to propose a more efficient order or more productive new tasks for us. It is important to note that this function can only be executed when we have a wide list of tasks to analyze on several different days, because otherwise it will not give us any personalized recommendation for us.
Another function that is included is the list scanner. This will allow us to use our camera to take a picture on a paper list to scan it and add it to the application and digitize it. This can come in handy if you organize yourself by hand writing the lists and then want to add them to the application and enjoy its interface. Siri also has an important role, because it allows us to create a custom shortcut in order to easily add tasks and consult everything we have to do with a simple voice command.
This application is extremely versatile and allows us to add people to specific lists in order to work together. You can assign tasks to a specific person and this can be tremendously interesting when we are going to do a joint job or if we organize with our co-worker easily. All our tasks and lists can be easily stored in iCloud but this is limited to the premium subscription we will talk about next.
Planny is compatible with both the iPad, Apple Watch and even has Mac application . This means that we can receive notifications of our tasks on different computers and synchronize easily making adding tasks simple for us and not a burden. With the passage of time we can get used to it and as we point things on the agenda, we will integrate Planny perfectly into our day to day.
As we have said before, although this application is free, some of the functions are limited to paying the premium plan. We invite you to try the app and its basic functions but if you need to create more than 2 lists you must go through the box and we believe that it can be very worthwhile if you want to organize yourself day by day in an efficient way. It is true that there are several applications in the App Store but as complete and with an interface as beautiful as Planny’s we have found few.
