March is not exactly a good month for Windows 10 users. This month’s security patches fixed a serious vulnerability related to Windows print services. However, by correcting it, Microsoft left a large number of users without printing. After admitting the bug, and releasing an emergency patch days later that fixed the ” APC_INDEX_MISMATCH ” screenshots caused by this patch. However, it seems that the problems have not been completely corrected after all. And a large number of users continue to experience errors when printing from the operating system.
Initially, it seemed that users who installed the new emergency patch fixed the problems and were able to print normally again. However, it hasn’t been long before new problems have reappeared.

New errors and problems when printing in Windows 10
It has not been many days before users have again experienced problems related to the latest updates. Without going any further, the blue screens , although they have decreased, have not disappeared for all users. Therefore, either the new management of type 3 drivers (which is what is believed to cause BSODs) is not well managed, or the problem does not really lie there. As Microsoft has not provided technical details about the patches (for security reasons) the community cannot investigate to try to find a solution.
However, although the screenshots have been reduced , new problems have appeared. There are many users who are now experiencing problems when printing photos or documents with images after installing this new patch. Some users noted that document images have not been printed since then (leaving gaps in the sites), while others claim that parts of the print are missing. There are users who claim that Office documents with embedded images cannot be printed in full, and the printing process is canceled in the middle.
How to End Printer Problems
The problem is believed to be due to a bug in GDI, the device interface, but it is not at all secure. Some users claim that the order in which updates are installed is very important. If for some reason the fixer (KB5001567) skipped earlier than the security patch (KB5000802), the latter replaced the “fix” and therefore the printing issues are still pending. In this way, if by uninstalling the two updates and installing them in order (first KB5000802 and then KB5001567) downloading them manually from the Microsoft Update catalog, the problems will disappear.
Another option (which, in the end, is the only one that guarantees that everything returns to normal) is to directly uninstall the two updates and postpone them until next month. As this time no critical vulnerabilities or zero-day bugs have been corrected, our PC will not be in much danger. Of course, we must take extreme precautions, for what may happen.

Microsoft, at the moment, has not made any statements about these new problems related to its latest updates. We will have to wait a little longer to see if, finally, the problems are solved.
