Windows errors accompany us constantly in our day to day. Especially after the release of new patches or new updates. It is true that it is difficult to make a system as complete as Windows work the same in so many different combinations of computers. However, it is also true that Microsoft is making more mistakes than allowed, and this tires Windows users. The latest issues hit the system with the arrival of the October 2020 security patches. And they appear to be fixed two weeks later with the arrival of the KB4580364 patch.
The new KB4580364 patch is not a security update, so Microsoft has not listed it as a mandatory patch, it is an optional patch. Users of Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2 can find this new patch within Windows Update, although it will not download and install itself, unless we do it.

At the moment no problems have been detected with this update, although looking at Microsoft’s history we do not rule out that they end up appearing throughout this weekend.
What’s in the KB4580364 patch?
This new optional Windows update brings with it a series of fixes for various bugs and bugs that have recently reached the operating system. Several fixes are dedicated to the Windows 10 IME keyboard , which was not working well with Japanese and Chinese languages. And it also fixes a bug that crashed the PC if it was used with a pencil and we had not used it again for a long time. But there are also a series of corrections that affect all users and that, thanks to them, we will make our PC work more stable and better.
The first of the serious errors to be fixed with this patch is related to the Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCPIP) . This made the driver completely block the operating system, rendering it unusable.
After the last Windows update , Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and Microsoft Management Console (MMC) started to show a lot of stability issues. Thanks to the new patch KB4580364, these problems have been completely fixed.
In addition, this patch brings to all Windows users 10 May / October 2020 Update Meet Now , the new tool based on Skype to make Windows video calls that we can use from the system tray without downloading anything and without having to log in to any site. This tool will already be available to users, although it will not be activated for a few weeks.
Download and install the new optional patch
As we have said, this new update comes as an optional patch to users who have already installed Windows 10 version 2004 or version 20H2 of the operating system. Therefore, to install it we will have to manually open Windows Update and install it from there.

Or, if we prefer, we can download this new patch directly from the Microsoft Update catalog . We will have to search by hand for the version that corresponds to our computer and version of the operating system, download it and install it. A great alternative if, for example, we want to update a PC that does not have an Internet connection.
