The lock screen , as its name suggests, serves to prevent anyone from entering the content of our mobile and, therefore, to maintain the user’s privacy. So, what is the use of apps showing messages or different content when we have a mobile phone locked?

If you do not want to be scared or someone does not find out what they should not, it does not hurt to take a look at the notification configuration section. We’re not just talking about hiding them, but choosing what the lock screen alerts show .
Edit what you want notifications to show
On your Android smartphone you will have a section dedicated to the notification settings. Depending on the customization layer used, you will have them in one place or another but in almost all of them it is the same. If the route that we indicate below is not the same on your smartphone, you can always use the search engine in the configuration app and enter “notifications”.
From the settings menu, enter the Notifications and status bar section and, once inside, you must locate the option that will allow you to Manage notifications, as it appears in this image.

Now you will have the option to access the Lock screen notifications and choose what you want to be displayed, among the options:
- Title and body
- Title only
- Show nothing
To demonstrate that the process is similar on almost any mobile, after showing you how to do it on a realme smartphone, here you can see how the route is quite similar on a Huawei smartphone running EMUI.

Whichever option you choose, the setting will be applied to all the applications and alerts you receive on your mobile phone.
Hide notifications from specific apps
What happens if the notifications you want to hide are a specific app debt, such as WhatsApp, for example? Then we will have to work on the applications menu, and not the notifications one.
From the Settings app, locate the apps whose notifications you want to hide from the lock screen. Once chosen, within you must select the option to Manage notifications.

Choose between the many notifications that you can silence or hide (messages, photos, audio …) and, by clicking on each one, you will be able to find the option that will allow you to hide the details of the alert on the lock screen. Activate it and nobody will be able to see what you receive in these apps.
This option, unlike the previous one, does not allow altering the content of the notification , only showing the alert or not.
