A little over a month ago Samsung carried out one of those launches that leave us a bit confused. Not because of what is presented, but because of the way it is done. The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G became official at the beginning of last month, partially, advancing some of the specifications of the 5G mobile but leaving some others in the pipeline.
Then the company showed us some official images and some details of the smartphone such as that it had a 6.6 “AMOLED touch screen and that we are facing one of the cheapest 5G compatible mobile phones of the brand. Luckily, today the manufacturer has shared more details about what we can find inside the new Galaxy A42 5G that does not yet have an arrival date in Spain.
All the details of Samsung’s budget 5G
Starting with the mobile screen, one of the elements of which we already knew technology and size, we now know that the Galaxy A42 5G has an HD + resolution on its 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel It is an Infinity-U display with notch in the form of a drop of water. The phone is powered by an unnamed chipset with an eight-core CPU (dual 2.2 GHz + Hexa 1.8 GHz) which, based on these characteristics, could be the same newly minted Snapdragon 750G that has already made an appearance in some than another phone released this year as Xiaomi‘s Mi 10T Lite.
At the rear there is a four-sensor camera whose main lens of 48 MP with aperture f / 1.8, is accompanied by an ultra-wide angle of 8 MP with f / 2.2, a macro camera of 5 MP with aperture f / 2.4 and a 5 MP f / 2.4 depth sensor. Regarding the front camera, it has a 20 MP sensor, with aperture f / 2.2.
The smartphone will be sold in countless versions as we have options for 4/6/8 GB of RAM in the A42 5G, although the storage will always be 128 GB which, as expected, can be increased through a microSD card. The smartphone finally completes its list of specifications with a 5,000 mAh battery with a 15W fast charging system and arrives in stores in Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White and Prism Dot Gray.
The launch date of this Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is still a mystery, the same happens with a price that should be around 300 euros.
