There are still a lot of people who find the idea of charging an electric car, like a Tesla, mysterious and a bit scary. Charging a Tesla is relatively simple

In this sense, electric vehicles, and especially Tesla, are perfect for traveling , since they are a delight to drive, they are very comfortable and the cost of electric charging is much cheaper than filling the tank of a combustion car.
In fact, the price we pay to charge a Tesla is about 3 times less than the equivalent in gasoline. When we leave the route, it is convenient to take into account the approximate charging times since this way we can plan it better and make the recharging stops fit our trip.
In the same way, it is known by many that the cars of Elon Musk’s company are expensive, especially with gasoline at a considerable height, hence the concern of many to know if it is cheaper to charge the electric batteries of any Tesla than to fill the tank.
What do we have to attend to?
In this regard, and as something to attend to about them, the charge of a Tesla battery can be recharged in different places, with different prices. For example, the electrified, in general, can be charged without any problem from a normal power outlet at home, which is a method that also takes a long time to wait.
In this way, and if what we are looking for is something faster and safer, the ideal thing would be to install a specialized domestic charger. The cost of installing a charger can range between 400 and 700 euros .
Thus, we still have to wait a long time until this is achieved or at least to shorten the times. Companies continue to work to offer faster charging times and even more common charging stations like highways that can charge electric vehicles.

In this, a charging point can be located in the home or in a public socket. In the first case, it is convenient to know the different alternatives:
- Domestic shot . It is a traditional socket for which no installation is required. With this standard socket, it only charges at a power of 2.3 kW, so the recovery of energy will be very slow. It should only be plugged in with the cable supplied by the vehicle brand. Likewise, the connection must be direct to the plug, without extension cords or power strips.
- Take reinforced . It has the same advantages of the domestic outlet. It is still a common plug in homes for which no installation work is required. However, with this model the car charges faster.
- Single charging point . It requires an installation with a small work. The cost usually exceeds 1,000 euros, but, in exchange, it offers faster recharges. The most common are 7.4 kW, 11 kW and up to 22 kW. To reach this last power of 22 kW, it must be associated with a three-phase network, instead of the typical single-phase. The higher the power, the more expensive the charging point will be.
- Tesla Superchargers . They are stations that offer the fastest charging on the road. They are designed to get the user back on the road as soon as possible. In addition to the possibility of accessing these systems at any time, Tesla ensures that it has a network of 30,000 stations worldwide.
For their prices, and previously, according to Electrek , using the Tesla Supercharger to fully recharge the car battery meant an outlay of just over 10 euros. Currently, this price can go up to 30 euros to charge 60 kWh and 50 for 100 kWh in some charging stations. Although everything will depend on the hours in which the refueling is done: if it is at peak times it will be even more expensive.
