iOS 14 should already be almost ready for its presentation because Apple should be polishing the latest novelties of the operating system that will land, officially, at the end of summer thanks to the iPhone 12. One of its great novelties would be the adaptation of a of the most classic functions of Android mobiles: Screen widgets.
Apparently the guys from Cupertino want to change the home screen as we know it, as a compendium of icons and folders in favor of a redesigned wallpaper settings panel for the new iOS. Now Twitter user DongleBookPro, known for snapping pictures of Apple’s internal products, has posted screenshots showing the new iOS 14 display settings panel in action.

Hey @EveryApplePro , @MaxWinebach said you like wallpapers pic.twitter.com/4P8BrMzCkI

These screenshots corroborate the arrival of default wallpapers separated by collections including “Classic Stripes”, “Earth & Moon” and “Flowers” to offer better organization. Instead of displaying all the wallpapers together, users are able to scroll through each collection to find a specific wallpaper more easily and even edit it slightly.
Widgets on iOS
The screenshot also reveals a new “Home Screen Appearance” option that is similar to the Apple Watch app’s watch face setting. With this feature enabled you can define a smart dynamic wallpaper only for the home screen.

Until now we have already seen how iOS works with Widgets in the control center, where you can add information about the stock, weather, Apple Music and other apps.
Now the brand, as revealed in the internal code of iOS 14, is currently working on the possibility of adding widgets on the iPhone and iPad home screen for the first time.
Instead of pinned widgets like in iPadOS 13, the new widgets in iOS 14 can be moved, like any application icon and as it has been done for years on Android mobiles.
What is not clear is whether you can only set some Widgets determined by the system or also those that are compatible with third-party apps such as Spotify.
So that the Widgets do not have display problems, the new version of iOS will also allow users to configure a background photo for the lock screen and a slightly casual version on the home screen that does not imply any type of discomfort when overlapping. one of these widgets on top.
