The Bohemia Interactive studio has just announced Arma Reforger , a title that will be the prelude to the long-awaited Arma 4, which is currently in development. Arma 4 does not yet have a release date, but it promises to be a tactical and realistic shooter that lives up to its predecessors in an open world. If you have an Xbox console or a PC to play, you’re in luck, because you can already pre-play Arma Reforger , a game that seems to be made to soften the wait for the main title, but it looks very good.
You can now play Arma Reforger in Early Access on Xbox and PC
Arma Reforger is a title that has not yet been officially launched on the market. It’s currently in Early Access right now, and if you’re curious, you can play now. On the Steam platform, the title is already available at the price of 29.99 euros , while on Microsoft systems, the game can be obtained thanks to the Game Preview program. In this case, you can choose the free trial or directly buy the game for the same price as on Steam.
And what about PlayStation? Isn’t Arma Reforger coming out for PlayStation 5 ? Yes, it will end up coming out, but Sony‘s policies prevent Early Access games from being sold in its store, so we will have to wait for the official launch to be able to enjoy this shooter in the new generation of Play.

Reforger is the first Weapon to land on consoles , and although the controller is not the most suitable gadget to get the most out of a title of this type, we assume that Bohemia Interactive did not want to waste the moment considering the graphic quality and capabilities from both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
This time, Arma Reforger takes us to Evereon Island in the Malden Archipelago. We will explore an island of 51 square meters in a completely free way, in a setting set in the Cold War .
According to its creators, we will be facing a huge open world full of forests and impressive landscapes, with realistic rivers and all kinds of details that will allow a very deep immersion in the video game.
The mods will have official support
As if that were not enough, Bohemia Interactive wants the community to be part of its video game . Hence, they are going to allow players to do modding in a totally legal way – exactly, like Rockstar, but the other way around.
The most skilled programmers will have access to Enfusion , that is, to the very engine with which the video game has been developed so that they can create their own content. There are no limits, so we can enjoy improved textures, unique assets , and even mechanics developed entirely by the community.
All of this content will be uploaded to the Workshop , which is an online repository where all of this content will be categorized. As a matter of fact, using these mods will not be just for PC users. Bohemia Interactive has already ensured that users who play Arma Reforger on consoles will also have access to the Workshop , and will be able to squeeze the experience exactly the same as if they had bought the video game for PC.
