Microsoft launched Windows 11 a month ago for the preview channel, where millions of people around the world have already installed it on their computers to test the latest news of the operating system (and also inexplicably lose some functions). Now, the launch is getting closer and closer with the arrival of the beta version .
The fact that Windows 11 reaches beta is very good news for users, as it indicates that the operating system is stable enough to install with ease on more computers . Currently it was necessary to get into the most unstable channel to receive Windows 11, but if we now opt for the Beta, we will also receive the update if we meet the demanding minimum requirements.

Channel Dev to Beta: Windows 11 is more stable
The beta version, yes, does not have the latest system functions that the Dev Channel does have, but receives fewer updates. In return, we have greater stability, and the guarantee of being able to enjoy most of the functions that the system already has, such as the new design, new start menu, multitasking improvements, Android applications natively, and a long and so on.
Microsoft has changed the way they develop new versions of the operating system. Now, they make a robust base, and from there they begin to test small functions, so that instability and problems that users may report are reduced.
This beta is an ideal option for users who want to change from the Dev channel to Beta , since they will not lose functions in the process, but they will gain stability. In fact, Microsoft recommends doing it, since the beta can be used even on a computer that we want to use for work. Dev versions usually come with a list of known bugs that can negatively affect your day-to-day life. Also, in the beta channel there is only one big news update every few weeks, instead of being weekly like in Dev.
Only the Release Preview channel remains
Microsoft has three channels for the release of new versions: Dev, Beta and Release Preview. Windows 11 is getting more mature, and it shouldn’t take long to hit the Release Preview stage. Normally Windows updates arrive on that channel around a month before its launch, so it would not be unusual for us to see the new version arrive there around the month of September, or October at the latest. The release date of the final version is estimated to be around October or November.

To download the Windows 11 beta we just have to go to the start menu in Windows 10 and type “Insider”, and click on the option that will appear in Windows Insider Program Settings. In there we have to accept the sharing of complete telemetry data, since Microsoft needs it to verify that everything is going well. Once there, we can choose which version to install.
