Google has just released the second update after having released Android 13, specifically it has presented the October 2022 security patch update with 9 bug fixes in Google Pixel 6 and other previous models that until now were posing a problem for its users.
This October security patch is now available and fixes several bugs , up to a total of 9 related to WiFi, audio, connectivity and user interface , such as the problem that prevents available WiFi networks from being displayed in the menu of network selection in certain applications, among others.

Devices that can be updated with this Google patch are Pixel 4/XL, 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro and 6a . The previous models are not part of this update, although as you can see there are several that can take advantage of it. If you have one of these models, you can now download the latest update on your phone from the settings by searching for the latest version.

- Fixed issue that occasionally prevented available WiFi networks from being displayed in the network selection menu in certain apps.
- Fixed issues that occasionally caused audible buzzing or noise during calls while using wired headsets.
- Fixed issue that prevents device volume controls in media player notification from working under certain conditions.
- Fixed issue causing initiator to crash when connecting to VPN under certain conditions.
- Fixed issue causing compatibility issues with certain app widgets on Android 13.
- Fixed issue causing media player to display the default icon for certain media apps.
- Fixed issue that would sometimes cause the device to crash when playing audio from local storage.
- Fixed issue that would sometimes cause empty Quick Settings tiles to display in the notification shade.
- Fixed issue that would occasionally cause the work profile toggle button to appear truncated in the app drawer.
You can now update your Google Pixel
The OTA rollout is now available and it may take a few hours to hit certain devices, so if you don’t have it yet you can either wait a bit as it’s coming soon to supported devices if it hasn’t already, or proceed to the manual download .
If you want to solve your problems now and you can’t find the option to update from your phone’s settings, we’ll tell you how you can do it right now, although nothing happens because you wait for it to reach your Pixel.
