The use of laptops is increasing more and more since there are many users who prefer to choose a computer that they can easily carry from one place to another, although sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice some power.
Unlike desktop computers, laptops have an integrated screen, so it does not have any type of button that allows us to turn off the monitor while it works. This can be a handicap in case we do not have it connected to the network since the battery consumption skyrockets as the screen is one of the most energy consuming components. Therefore, today we show you how to turn off the laptop screen while it is still running.

By default, Windows incorporates a sleep and hibernation mode where it temporarily stops the entire system by turning off the screen. To do this we just have to go to “Settings” , click on “Start / stop and suspend” . From here we can configure the screen so that when we use the battery or it is plugged in, it disconnects after a while. We can also suspend the equipment both while using the battery and when it is connected, so that it activates after a period of time of inactivity.
