Under-screen selfie camera technology seems to be the future of the industry. This will definitely banish notches, holes, and other inventions that only interrupt the full-screen experience in some way. Now, we know what could be Samsung‘s definitive plan for the implementation of this system.
Recall that companies such as OPPO, Xiaomi, TCL or Samsung itself have already shown interest in implementing this system, which hides the selfie sensor under the screen. However, at the end of the year that has just ended, ZTE appeared to present the Axon 20 5G as the first solution in this regard.
New hidden camera system
Now, the LetsGoDigital medium has had access to what could be the method that Samsung will use in the next Galaxy Note 21, and that it will hide the camera under its panel. This patent has been published by the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) on December 31st. The system works with two parts, the first being the main one and showing the main screen display. The selfie camera and flash, as well as another sensor, are located behind the second part of the screen.
This second part has a higher light transmission, thus allowing the camera sensor to receive enough light to be able to take quality photos and videos . This has always been one of the biggest stumbling blocks of this system, and what makes technology come only when it is mature enough. The second part of the screen can be placed across the entire width of the screen, or placed in both upper corners, depending on the model and type of front camera that it will integrate.
Ready for the Galaxy Note 21?
The great mystery is knowing which Samsung device will be the first to launch this technology. We know that they will not be the next Galaxy S21, as they will continue to show a selfie camera built into a hole in the screen. For this reason, all eyes are on the Galaxy Note 21 , which could also be the last mobile in the series.
However, we cannot bet on a single number, since on other occasions, we have seen how Samsung has released technologies in mid-range devices. Let’s remember, for example, how the Galaxy A8s was the first Samsung mobile to have a camera with a hole in the screen, or the Galaxy A9, the first to mount four cameras on the back.
