Although Realme is a young company, its fame has grown along with its success. Although the firm was born as a subsidiary firm of OPPO, it has managed to create its own identity. Part of that identity is given by Realme UI, its own customization layer, with unique options and applications. Within Realme UI we find some more than interesting tricks , which go unnoticed by most users.

Not all the functions of a layer like Realme UI are explained by the manufacturer or are visible in user guides. Actually, many times, just by touching and touching, entering menus and sub-menus, we can find some of them. One of the ones that most caught our attention, it allows us to play the audio of a video, without having to see the video itself or have the screen turned on.
Listening to the audio of a video
We may have recorded a video at a conference, or have music videos in our library. These are just two examples, why it can be useful to listen to the audio of a video, when the image is not relevant. However, the native video application of Realme UI, has a method to be able to leave the image aside and listen to only the audio.

In order to do so, we will have to enter the “Videos” tool and select the one we want to reproduce. Once done, we will see three icons at the top of the playback. The first allows you to put the video in full screen, and the padlock locks the controls during playback. The one we’re interested in is right in the middle, and it’s shaped like headphones. When pressed, the image will disappear, but we can continue listening to the video sound.
With the screen off
Best of all, we can even turn off the screen, and the audio will still be heard. It is the best way to save battery, when we are only interested in listening to the audio. This option can be similar to the PiP, but not even applications like YouTube allow us to listen to only the audio without watching the video, and much less with the screen off. To make the video show the image again, just press the headphones icon again.
