Main reasons
Face Unlock Activated
When the unlock mode is set to Unlock directly, the message content is hidden when using Face Unlock, as privacy protection. If we want to continue using this blocking method but at the same time see the notifications, we will have to do the following: We go to Settings / Security and privacy / Face unlock (or Face recognition), and enter the screen lock password. Now we register our facial image and disable “Smart lock screen notifications”
“Show but hide on” function
Another reason for not showing notifications is that the Show but hide content feature is enabled . To deactivate it, go to Settings / Notifications / Notifications on the lock screen and select “Show”.
Change of covers
Another reason that prevents us from seeing the notifications is that the “Notifications activate the screen” function is available only when “Change of covers” is enabled. To change this parameter we go to Settings and look for Change of covers. Next, we enable Cover Change. Then we open Settings and look for Notifications activates the screen. Next, we enable Notifications activate the screen.
It only happens with some application
In this case, the problem is that the Notifications function on the lock screen is not enabled for a specific application. This will show some applications and not others. The solution is to go to Settings and look for Applications. Then we select the application from which notifications are not shown and press ” Notification Management” or “Notifications” and click on “Allow notifications” and mark “Notifications on the lock screen” as “Show”.
Application lock
It also occurs when the Application Blocking feature is enabled for the third-party application. In this case we will have to return to Settings / Security and privacy / Application blocking. Once inside we disable the option “Blocking applications for third-party application” and the problem will be solved.
