Every day we use dozens of passwords to access social networks, bank accounts, emails. For the same reason, do not panic if you ever forget one or just get confused. But what to do if you forget the ones on your Apple devices? Here’s how to quickly reset your Apple ID password.

When it happens to you, there are a number of steps you can take to reset it, all quite simple. Just one thing: There will never be a way for Apple to simply tell you what your password is, even through an email. Below we will explain how to reset the Apple ID password, a process that many are unaware of, but that offers multiple benefits.
Once you reset your Apple ID password, you may want to know how to protect the data on your iPhone.
Using the Apple site

Step 1 : To get started, you need to go to appleid.apple.com and click on the phrase: Forgot Apple ID or password? appearing in the center of the page.
Step 2 : You will access a new page where you must enter your Apple ID or the email address associated with the account. Then click Continue, then select I need to reset my password.
Step 3 : Now you can choose how you want to reset your password, either by email or by answering various security questions. The option you choose will really be based on your personal preferences.
Step 4 : When choosing the email method, Apple will send instructions to the primary email address you used to start this process, or a ransom email if you decided on one.
You will know that the email has been sent when you see the “Email Sent” page with a large green check mark. If you can’t find the email, be sure to check the Spam, Junk and Trash folders, or repeat the steps above to get the email sent again. You will also have to confirm your birthday and answer the above questions in order to create a new password.
If you forgot the answers to the security questions
If you forgot your password, answering certain security questions is the fastest way to re-enter your account to make changes. After all, only you or someone who knows you really well will be able to know the answers to questions like “Who was your favorite teacher?”, But what if you also forgot the answers to those questions? The memory is somewhat flimsy, as several studies on “flash memories” show , and it is very possible that right now you remember – in complete safety – that your favorite high school band was Green Day, although two years ago you swore on your knees what was The Offspring…
Step 1: In case you forget your security questions, changing them is a simple process. First, go to iforgot.apple.com and enter your Apple ID.

Step 2: Select I need to reset my security questions and click Continue .

Step 3: Enter your password, then click Continue . Choose three questions from the drop-down menus and provide answers that hopefully only you can answer.

Using two-factor authentication
If you set up and enabled two-factor authentication, resetting your password will be even easier, as you can reset your password directly from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch from the Apple ID account page. So when you set up two-factor authentication, you created, perhaps unknowingly, trusted devices. And therefore, all iOS devices will also need to have an access code enabled.
Using your iOS device
Step 1 : Go to Settings> [your name]> Password and Security .
Step 2 : Select Change password.
Step 3 : You will be asked to enter the password and you will have to enter your new password.
Using the Apple ID account page
Step 1 : Go to iforgot.apple.com and enter the trusted phone number you sent when you set up two-factor authentication.
Step 2 : Choose Continue to send a notification to your trusted iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
Step 3 : When you receive the notification on your iOS device, select Allow.
Step 4 : Follow the provided steps, enter your password and reset the password.
Note : If you no longer have access to a trusted device and cannot configure a new one, the process of changing your password becomes a bit more complicated. It is possible to avoid two-factor authentication, but it is a hassle and it may take several days before you can finally change your password.
Using account recovery

If you don’t have your trusted iOS device nearby, you can reset your password by requesting an Account Recovery. This is a good solution when your device has been lost or stolen and you want to have access to your account and at the same time deny access to anyone who tries to imitate you. However, this process may take a few days, depending on the amount of information you provided to prove your identity.
Step 1 : By following the steps to reset your password on iForgot or iOS, you should see an option to Request Account Recovery.
Step 2 : Enter a number that can be accessed when your account is ready, then enter the verification code sent to verify your information. After verification, you will receive a confirmation that your request has been received and you will be contacted when your account is ready.
Step 3 : After a while, your account will be ready and you will be contacted by text message or phone call.
Step 4 : Go to iforgot.apple.com , enter your Apple ID, and confirm the number you used in step two.
Step 5 : An account recovery code will be sent to you through a text message or a phone call, which you must enter in the field provided in iForgot.
Step 6 : Click Continue to access a new page where you can create a new password, verify your trusted phone number, and log in.
When you have finally re-established it, you must log in to your Apple account with your new password and also make sure to update it in the Settings menu of all your devices. This way (and only this way) you will never have to worry about being blocked in your own Apple account.
