In the case of the iPhone it is especially relevant, since they do not have the possibility of expanding through microSD cards. Apple would expand the capacity of its iPhone
Although nothing is confirmed yet, it is an open secret that Apple will increase the base capacity of its devices. The current 64 GB that we find as a base were in their time maximum capacities of phones that at that time did not require so much space, but in the middle of 2020 it is almost an insult. In fact, most of the iPhone’s competitors already start with capacities of at least 128 GB. And yes, it is true that iCloud can be used to save space, but perhaps it is not the best for many users.
For several months now, various analysts specialized in Apple and with direct sources with the company affirmed that 64 GB would be a thing of the past in the iPhone 12. In March we also met the new iPad Pro with minimum capacities of 128 GB, so this served as an impetus to this theory that the new phones would also extend their memories. Therefore, we would find capacities of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB and it seems that it would be shared by the four models that we see this year.
As for price we cannot venture too much. Apple is not expected to lower prices, but there is no indication that it will raise them either. In any case, if they were to go up, it would not be motivated by this greater base capacity but by other components such as 5G or screen improvements, since in the case of the iPad Pro we did not see that these increased in price despite also starting from greater memory.
When will we finally get out of doubt?
This is the one million question. That the launch of the phones is going to be delayed is something that even Apple has confirmed, but it should not also delay the presentation of the same. If we stick to the rumors that have more force, the presentation event would take place in the week of October 12 , but it must also be borne in mind that there will be devices that presumably are presented earlier and may alter the calendar (Apple Watch Series 6 and new iPad Air).
Be that as it may, we understand the impatience for the most staunch fans of the brand. Even those who do not plan to buy them or are even detractors of these devices tend to be curious to know them.
