
Apart from the highly anticipated iPhone 15 and Pixel 8, Samsung‘s folding phones are the remaining flagship devices generating excitement for this year. The wait for their official unveiling won’t be too long, as they are expected to be presented in just a month. However, most of their details have already been leaked, leaving little to the imagination.
Samsung has plans to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in July. But if you’re unable to contain your curiosity about what the South Korean company has in store for its high-end lineup, fret not, as a prominent leaker has just shared renders of the devices. These renders not only showcase the design but also provide a glimpse of the foldables from various angles and in different color options. As if that weren’t enough, the leak is accompanied by a comprehensive list of specifications.
Recently, the leakster SnoopyTech posted a cryptic binary tweet, which, when decoded, revealed the leaked specifications and granted us a sneak peek at the renderings of the new foldable devices.
This would be the Flip5
Let’s start with the highly popular Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. This foldable phone will boast a 6.7-inch main screen featuring FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Additionally, it will sport a 3.4-inch cover screen with a resolution of 748 x 720 pixels. This larger panel compared to its predecessor, the Z Flip 4, will allow for the utilization of specific applications like the camera, music control, and Google Maps.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and a choice between 128GB or 256GB of storage.

In terms of cameras, the Z Flip 5 will feature a dual setup on the outside consisting of a 12MP (f/1.8) lens and a 12MP (f/2.2) lens. For selfies and video calls, it will offer a 10MP (f/2.4) front-facing camera. Powering the phone will be a 3700mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 25W. Additionally, it will come with 5G connectivity, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC capabilities.
As per the leaked images, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available in four color options: pink, white, green, and black. When folded, it will measure approximately 7.19 x 8.51 x 1.51 cm, providing a compact and portable form factor.
Fold5 Features
The superior model among the brand’s two foldable display phones will offer a generous 7.6-inch primary display with a resolution of 2176 x 1812 pixels, a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Additionally, it will feature a 6.2-inch front-facing display with a 1080p resolution of 2316 x 904 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Z Fold 5 will share the same processor as its counterpart but will provide more memory with 12 GB RAM and increased storage options, reaching up to 512 GB.

In terms of camera capabilities, this foldable device will sport a 50MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.8, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with an aperture of f/2.2, and another 12MP telephoto lens with the same aperture of f/2.2. For selfies, it will offer a 4MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.2 on the inside and a 10MP external camera with an aperture of f/2.2.
Naturally, the Z Fold 5 will support 5G connectivity, along with Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6E networks. It will be fueled by a 4400mAh battery, which can be rapidly charged at 25W. The device will be available in mauve, white, and black color options.
Both phones from the brand will operate on Android 13 as their operating system and are expected to be among the first devices from the company to receive the subsequent Android 14 update.
