No mobile is exempt from errors and performance problems , which can be derived from various factors and this time we are going to solve them on Samsung phones with the help of One UI. With the passage of time, mobiles are affected by the use of memory, erroneous configurations and other variations that may affect us on a daily basis.

Regardless of the Samsung models we have in our hands, we are going to help ourselves with all the available options to recover the capabilities of our mobile. We must bear in mind that an entry-level mobile phone will never achieve that the most demanding games can reach the high-end ones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20, but at least in basic applications we should have no problems.
The mobile is slow and it is difficult to start apps
Samsung mobiles do their own optimization of the processes that are kept open in the background and this may be one of the reasons why our mobile suffers in demanding applications or has trouble opening new ones. It will depend in turn on the configuration of RAM memory or the processor that we have but we can configure it to make it work better.

The steps that we must follow to set a limit on the background processes and to solve Samsung’s performance problems are the following:
- We must first activate the developer options in the settings:
- We are looking for “On the phone”.
- Click on software and look for the “compilation number” section.
- We tap on it repeatedly until it seems to us that the developer options are activated.
- Now we head over to the settings again and look for “Developer Options”.
- Then we click on limit process in the background.
Depending on the capabilities of our Samsung smartphone, we will be able to mark it for the first time in 4 processes and then check whether these problems continue or with this configuration is sufficient. In case we continue with the problems, we return to this section and we lower the maximum number of processes.
A bad configuration
Within this same section we have access to the background check, an option that may be limited in some cases. To check it we will only enter with the same steps mentioned above and if we find a list of applications we must activate them all or else we could suffer performance problems.

In some tutorials it is recommended to deactivate them, but it can cause the opposite effect to the one we want. Our mobile will not be able to develop the processes it needs with some applications and services, causing it to slow down.
Problems with external applications
Among all the applications that we have on our mobile, it may be the case that an application that affects the performance of One UI sneaks in . In order not to remain suspicious, we will only have to enter safe mode and thus all apps will be temporarily disabled, making it clear that the problem originates from one of the latest ones that we have installed.
Accessing the safe mode is easy, we just have to turn off the mobile and then turn it on by pressing and holding the power button and lower the volume at the same time until it turns on. In the lower left part a little sign will be shown so that we are sure that it has worked.
Samsung Members, the solution to our problems
Relying on the artificial intelligence of One UI we have on our mobile the possibility of finding problems and errors that may appear. In some cases they could be linked to the hardware and in others to the software, but in any case, in Samsung Members we will find the solution and complete diagnosis.

Just by accessing the app that we already have installed as standard, we will touch on diagnosis and it will be automatically evaluated in a few seconds. Once completed, it will give us a list of the problems at Samsung that you have identified and give us tips to solve them if there are any.
Lag or delay on Samsung mobiles
In case we encounter speed problems with our mobile, we must know that this is caused by animations when they are not able to reproduce as they should. To solve this, we only have to reduce them, ensuring that the mobile does not consume as many resources and the result is slow.

We are going to carry this out in Settings> Advanced functions and finally we activate the “Reduce animations” option. We can instantly check the result for ourselves when opening an application or closing them.
App Booster, in tests
At the time we developed this guide, Samsung is working on an application called App Booster that aims to optimize the applications that we have installed on our mobile so that the operation is as desired. For now, you can only download the APK externally, although it is expected that it will soon reach Google Play for all users with One UI.
Performance issues after upgrade
If the speed or operation problems on our mobile phone have started after receiving an important update such as Android 10, it is likely that the stored cache is playing tricks on us.

Samsung is aware of this problem and the brand itself recommends carrying out a Hard Reset to eliminate everything that may have affected the malfunction of our Samsung mobile . The steps to follow are the following, after having extracted all the photos and files that we do not want to lose:
- We turn off the Samsung Galaxy by holding down the power button and tapping turn off.
- Now we simultaneously press the power button and increase volume several seconds until we see the Android logo. (Some models with Bixby button must press and hold power + Bixby + increase volume)
- In the following steps we move with the volume up and down keys, accepting with the power button.
- Then we go to “Wipe data / Factory reset” and accept with the power button.
- We repeat on “Yes” and accept.
- Finally we choose “Reboot system now”.
Now we only have to reconfigure our mobile and forget about the problems that did not allow us to take advantage of the new functions after having updated the mobile.
