Our mobile may have a large storage capacity, and that we also complement it with a large capacity memory card. However, it is a matter of time before memory begins to run low and we need a method to free that space, without losing anything that interests us. That’s where the famous cloud and online storage services come into play. In the last few days we have seen many users go into a rage due to Google’s decision to end the free storage of Google Photos. Luckily, if you have a Huawei mobile in your hand, the solution is within your reach.

Our mobiles have increasingly high capacities, which in many cases means that storage runs out sooner. Recording in 4K (or even 8K in some terminals), or all the photos that are taken daily, are some of the culprits. All Huawei mobiles have 5 GB of free cloud storage , which may fall short, but can be easily expanded. This storage can be used to sync albums, back up important mobile data, save your documents, and much more.
First of all, activate Huawei Cloud
To be able to find Huawei’s cloud storage, it will not be necessary to download an app, just enter Settings and click on our Huawei ID. Once inside we will see access to the Cloud. In this case, the 5 GB storage has been completely full, making it impossible to keep saving our data in the cloud. However, Huawei can expand this capacity for free to 50 GB , a much higher capacity and that will allow us to free up a lot of internal memory.

More free storage
We just have to click on “Get now” and choose the free monthly plan for 50 GB, which has gone from 0.99 euros per month to 0 euros. We will only have to position ourselves on the monthly option and click on “Buy”. On the next screen, we will have to enter a payment method, which can be through “Huawei Points” or by credit card. Although the service is free, it is a necessary procedure since if we want to change plans, we need a valid payment method. Once done, when we return to the previous screen we will see the new cloud storage active, which will allow us to free up internal memory on our device or memory card.
