The alarm on our mobile phone is the function with which millions of people wake up every day. Pressing buttons like crazy to try to get 5 more minutes of truce is very common, but like everything, it is an adjustment that we must have well configured. Today we wanted to see how we can disable the alarm on Android phones, using the volume buttons.
The volume keys on our smartphone can be used for more than it seems. One of the most useful functions is related to alarms. That is, far from having to open your eyes and slide your finger precisely on the screen, being able to feel these physical buttons will allow us to stop the alarm. In some mobiles this option may be activated by default, but if it is not, it will take us just a few seconds to configure it.
How to activate the function
A large number of terminals include the Google alarm application by default , if not, the adjustment could be made slightly differently than we indicated. In any case it is very rare to find a customization layer that does not let you configure the volume buttons to switch the alarms.
The first step is to go to the Google clock application, where the alarm settings are located. Then we will have to click on the contextual menu (three dots) that will allow us to enter its Settings. Once inside we will find an option called “Volume buttons”. This is where we will find the necessary setting to be able to deactivate the alarm with the volume buttons. Among the options that we will see, we will have to select “Accept”. This means that when the alarm sounds and we press the buttons, it will not sound again.
Other options
Additionally we find two other settings: the first of them ” Postpone ” pause the alarm for a few minutes, also by touching the volume buttons. The third option, “Do nothing” , returns to the default setting, that is, the volume buttons will no longer have an effect in order to stop or postpone the alarm.
