Almost all the operating systems that allow us to use our mobile have functions, not hidden, but difficult to access, which are only found when we spend a while browsing the phone. It is the example of the accessibility options that, on Huawei mobiles , allow us to control the smartphone without almost touching the screen. It’s about motion control and gesture control.
The accessibility functions of our mobile phone hide a wide compendium of functions that allow us to use the mobile phone in a different way and open apps, for example, by drawing a picture on the screen or muting the phone by turning it over. This is especially useful when we have stained hands or want to change an option quickly.
Therefore we must distinguish between two “compendiums” of gestures that change the way we interact with our Huawei mobile .
Motion control
Here we talk about how we move the mobile, and not the gestures we make to control it. This allows us to answer calls or silence the smartphone using the mobile gyroscope so that it does one thing or another depending on how we orient the phone.
- Flip to Mute : If enabled, you can choose whether to mute incoming calls, timers, and alarms when you flip the phone.
- Lift for … : Contrary to the previous movement, what we can enable when lifting the smartphone is the possibility of lowering the volume of incoming calls, that of the timer or alarms or, most usefully, activating the device.
- Zoom to the ear : The third movement that we can add to the Huawei mobile is to bring it to the ear. This will allow us to automatically answer calls, make them, use the smart speaker or activate the bluetooth headphones.
Gesture control
EMUI gestures allow you to open certain applications or run certain apps by drawing something on the screen:
- Knuckle strike: By performing this small gesture and dragging to the side, we easily enable the split screen to use two apps at the same time.
- Double knuckle strike: Performing this action allows you to take a screenshot as an alternative to pressing the lock button and Huawei mobiles.
- Knuckle punch and drawing : An option that helps the user capture a specific region of the screen. What we have outlined with the knuckle will be saved.
Drawing letters
Separate mention has the gesture of drawing a letter with the knuckle. This will allow us to open an application that we have previously configured and associated with that letter. It is compatible not only with system apps but with any type of application downloaded from the Play Store.
We can choose between the letter “C”, letter “E”, letter “M” and letter “W”. Click on the button to open applications and in the drop-down menu of each letter select the app we want to open.
