When we surf the net we can find many tricks for Xiaomi mobiles or functions that do not always fulfill what they promise, this is something that has happened to us but we have managed to solve it. The option to change the size of the icons on Xiaomi is not yet available in Europe, but we have managed to unlock it as we will explain.
In some forums the possibility of obtaining this option is indicated just by using the latest version of the MIUI launcher , but nevertheless we recommend that you not waste time looking for the APK. The process is much easier and as you are going to see for yourself it is a function that works perfectly and does not give any problem, neither having an entry-level mobile or the latest high-end.
The authentic method to resize icons on Xiaomi
To get this option on our Xiaomi mobile, what we have to do is turn it into a POCO mobile, the sub-brand of the firm that has its own launcher. This option is unknown to many Xiaomi phones and has the option to modify the Xiaomi icons without affecting the design of the home screen as it is also based on MIUI.
- The first thing we have to do is install the Poco Launcher from Google Play.
- Then when accessing the home screen we choose this launcher.
- Then slide your finger from the bottom up to enter your options.
- In the upper right part we see three lines that lead us to the adjustments.
- And finally in this section we will touch on customize design.
In the future this option could reach MIUI 12, but for now it is not available neither in the latest version of the Xiaomi layer nor in the previous ones. This renewal was in the testing phase but it was not finally implemented for all users.
Icon design options
Once we are within the option that we have reached we can see that we find two movement bars. The first of them offers us the option of changing the number of icons per row so that we can choose between 3, 4 or 5 maximum.
The lower one gives us the option to change the size of the home screen icon, going from XS to XL with five variations. Depending on our screen, it will be more convenient to choose one or the other, also adapting it to the vision and capabilities of each user.
