As time goes by, users increasingly demand more from a type of software that does not stop growing in terms of functions and market penetration. Specifically, we refer to Internet browsers that most of you use on a daily basis. Here come into play software solutions of the importance of Google Chrome , Firefox or Microsoft Edge, among others.
There are many tasks that we can already carry out from these programs, not only moving through informative websites. Now we have the possibility to work in the cloud, play games, interact with users from all over the world, transmit video , etc. That is why it could be considered that users currently perform multiple tasks between their browser and other applications.

With this new feature in Windows, we will be more productive
The usual way to be more productive in the case of Windows is to use the taskbar and the key combination Alt + Tab . As most of you may already know, these working modes usually help us substantially when switching between applications quickly. Of course, the mentioned browsers are included here, in addition to the other applications running on the Microsoft system. However when moving between the tabs of these, this system was not working, at least until now.
We tell you all this because in the latest Insider versions of Windows 10 and its web browser, Edge , these tabs now appear when using Alt + Tab. It goes without saying the advantages that this offers the user, since it allows you to quickly switch between applications and websites currently open. But that’s not all, we can also quickly access the tabs of the most important websites directly from the taskbar.
These are the first changes in this sense that we plan to integrate in order for us to be more effective when working in Windows . In addition they will help us greatly by dealing with many applications and browser tabs at the same time. For years, most of us have used the Alt + Tab keyboard shortcut just to move between the programs that are currently open. But of course, this leaves out tabs , where we may also have cloud applications running.
Tabs will show up as apps in Windows
To date, both modalities have been treated independently, separately, something that Microsoft wants to combine with this new functionality . And it is that as a general rule people increasingly spend more time in these browsers , as we say. Therefore, we believe that rightly, this has now been updated in Windows so that Alt + Tab also shows the browser tabs next to the applications.

And is that the Redmond firm knows that the use of the Alt + Tab combination is basic for most. Therefore in the future we will be able to choose if we want to see all, some, or none of the Edge tabs next to the open programs. This is something that we can change from the Settings / System / Multitasking application in Windows . Initially all tabs are shown by default, but if we think it is a lot, we can configure Alt + Tab so that only the last three or five tabs are shown.
Alt + Tab and taskbar will show Edge tabs
In parallel, we also want to improve the use of the taskbar in this sense in the Redmond system. Thus, until now pinned websites allowed us to quickly open a website . But from now on Insiders can already see, from the same taskbar, all the open tabs in any of the Edge windows. Obviously this facilitates the search and the change to a specific tab.
At the same time we can click on the icon of an anchored website to see all the tabs open in any of the Microsoft browser windows.
