There are so many functions in Xiaomi that make my life easier that it would be difficult for me to change to another mobile from another brand, or that does not have these tricks that I use frequently. That is why I have made a selection of the ones I like the most, although the truth is that I try to make the most of the potential of my smartphone and there are many more that I could tell you about.
These are the 6 tricks that interest me the most on my mobile and that are extremely practical for me. I save a lot of time with them and I can do what I want with my mobile at any time. Discover them!
I can program its on and off
One function that I really like is to program the mobile to turn off or on automatically . If you don’t know it, once you discover it you will love it. You can program it to turn off at a certain time when you go to sleep or to turn on at a specific time from the mobile settings, so you don’t have to worry about doing it right away.
You will have to do it in the mobile settings, and these are the steps:
- Open mobile settings
- Go to the battery section
- Click on the Battery option in the menu
- Select Schedule On/Off
- Choose the option that interests you and mark it
- Write the time and when you want it to do it (once, every day, from Monday to Friday or custom)
Clean the mobile in one click or without doing anything
I can easily clean my mobile by removing junk when I need it with just one click. From the battery settings , where I said in the previous section, you can also do it by clicking on the settings thread in the upper right and looking for the option to clean the cache when the device is locked . Select the time that must elapse until it does so, the ideal being 10 minutes, although there are more options.
You can also create shortcuts like me so that the cleaning tool is on your screen , and you only have to press on it to clean your mobile and make it work better.
- Go to the mobile Settings
- Navigate to the app settings
- Select the security section
- Go to Manage Shortcuts
- Choose Clean and Deep Clean, or the options you’d like to have on the screen for quick access
collages in seconds
I can make a collage with my photos , to present my vacation photos in a more attractive way, to surprise someone or whatever I want. I just have to choose the photos from my gallery and press below where it says Add to or create a Collage and add photos.
I select the collage option, I choose the design that I want it to have by moving through the menu of available options and I click on Save. The result is spectacular and I can do it in less than a minute if I already have the images that interest me clear.
I don’t need photo editing tools or have knowledge or spend time on that task, my Xiaomi does it for me automatically.
Answer messages without leaving the app I use
I find the ability to see my messages or reply to them without leaving another application I’m using, among other things, extremely practical. For example, I can see my account number to share it with someone on WhatsApp with both screens at hand. For that, I select the Floating Windows feature on my Redmi mobile. If I configure this option everything is much easier.
I can also use the sidebar to have my Telegram or WhatsApp, or whatever, at hand and open it without leaving the function I’m in.
I can close any app at the moment
When I don’t want an application to stay there consuming resources, it’s clear to me, I can close it instantly with a single button on the mobile. It is the one on the back, which will allow you to close the current app if you configure it like this.
If you also want to do it, you just have to go to the mobile settings and configure it like this:
- Go to Additional Settings
- Press on Direct settings by gestures or applications
- If it’s not there, select Button Shortcuts in Other Settings
- On Hold the back button press, to find and confirm the action Close current application
Now when you hit the back button , the app will close without appearing in the background.
Share WiFi in seconds
One of the most practical functions that I find in my mobile is that I can share the WiFi key in seconds. It is as simple as going to the mobile Settings, choosing the specific connection and clicking on it so that a QR code appears with which to share my connection. To share it is only necessary to scan the code, which will indicate the name of the network, type of network and password.
If I create a portable hotspot, from the mobile connections settings, I can also share it with a QR code to make it even easier.
If you are interested in doing it or you have forgotten the data of your WiFi network and do not want to go to the router to look for it, you can do this with your WiFi or whatever you connect to.
