Memory in Xiaomi mobiles is something very important since without its proper functioning we will not be able to carry out much of the daily actions for which we use our mobile. These errors can be a growing problem and we must solve them before the problem can only be solved by deleting everything on the mobile.
Problems with storage can reach our mobile for various reasons and given this we have several solutions. We just have to look for it in the tool drawer with the name of cleaner. Just by accessing it, an automatic search will be generated to delete cache files that cause problems among others that bother us on the mobile and do not serve any purpose.

Take advantage of the 5 GB of Xiaomi Cloud
The company gives us 5 GB of space in the cloud just for having a Xiaomi mobile with a Mi gutter, this will prevent us from losing settings, configurations, messages and photos. To use it we just have to go to Settings> My Account and click on Xiaomi Cloud to choose everything we want to be copied and saved to leave more free space on our mobile. After the copy has been made, when we access the previous options to free up smartphone storage, it will invite us to delete photos or videos that are already under the cloud backup.
Other files may be after memory problem
It is very common that the section of other files on mobiles is too large, although luckily for us at Xiaomi it is easy to identify and eliminate to solve storage problems . To know if it affects us, we have to go to Settings> About the phone> Storage and we can check it. In case it is very large we must follow the following steps:
- We access the file manager that already comes on our mobile.
- In the root folder we will look for the one called “diag_logs” and delete it completely.
- Then we delete the application folders that we no longer use.
- Always careful not to erase what we should not.
These folders can take up a lot of space and are really just files or information about errors that have accumulated on the device.
Memory card problems

In case it gives us problems, we will have to extract it again and check that we have placed it correctly, blow it out and restart the mobile if necessary.

Hard Reset as the last solution
When we have already tried everything to end memory problems in Xiaomi, we only have to make our mobile return to the original state and take into account the methods that we have explained so that it does not recur. Before, we must save all our photos and files to a computer or other device so that we cannot save them, following these steps:
- First we turn off our Xiaomi mobile in a regular way.
- Then we hold down the power button and increase volume until it vibrates and the Xiaomi logo appears.
- We will access the Recovery menu where to go to the “Wipe Data” option.
- Then we tap on the “Wipe All Data” option.
- Now we give to confirm and we will have deleted the data from the terminal.
- We can only go back to the initial menu with the option “Back to main menu”
- And on this screen we choose “Reboot” and finally “Reboot to System”.
After following all these steps we only have to reconfigure the mobile, being able to check how the storage is now completely released and we will only have what the system requires occupied.
