That’s right, a new viral problem arrives for the phones of the bitten apple through Instagram . A simple story is completely blocking the iPhone of many users of this social network simply by playing it on their screen. The Instagram story that will lock your iPhone
Well, even if it seems like a joke or something completely implausible, it is really happening. Although something of this nature is not the first time that has happened in recent years. Something similar happened with the iOS messages app when, a matter of a year ago, a message with Arabic characters went viral, causing the messages app to crash.
This problem comes when the user @pgtalal created a story in his profile in which, when accessing it, your phone will freeze . We will see a gray screen with a text in Arabic (yes, again) loading on our iPhone and, suddenly, the story will stop and the mobile will stop responding.
How does all this happen? Can they then hack me through an Instagram story? These questions may go through your head when reading a madness like this but, rest assured, it is simpler than it seems.
After an investigation by YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss he was able to discover that @pgtalal created this post with two incredibly large stickers .
Stickers are the typical “stickers” that we use in our stories with dolls, texts, etc. But of course, normally these have dimensions that reach a maximum of 1 inch. But the story created by @pgtalal is vastly larger, on the order of ten million inches. Using HTTP Proxy to change the dimensions of those stickers (thus circumventing the Instagram limit) he was able to develop them.
The result of all this is a story in which iPhones are not able to process the image that is being displayed and therefore end up crashing.
If your iPhone crashes, this is what you should do
Luckily for all of us who are iOS users, this crash can be solved very easily. We only need to do a “respring” or “forced restart” to our phone so that everything goes back to how it was before.

But, in case there were any clueless, it is a super simple process in which we only have to press the buttons on the phone in the correct order.
The key combination will vary depending on your iPhone model. If you have a somewhat older Apple phone, we recommend that you watch the video on YouTube. But, in the case of the most current models, you will simply have to do this combination as quickly as possible:
- Press and release the volume up button.
- Press and release the volume down button.
- Press and hold the power button (turn off the screen) until the panel turns off and the apple appears again.
