The mobile makes calls while I’m on another call
Lately the most repeated problem in the Xiaomi forums is that our mobile makes calls to other numbers while we are on a call. This is caused by an error with the sensors, which we can try to fix with the solutions to the problems with the proximity sensor in Xiaomi or by blocking the mobile before starting to speak.
Activate the proximity sensor on Xiaomi
At other times, it is probably not a problem and just a configuration error. To check it we have to follow these steps: Settings> Applications> System applications> Call settings> Incoming call settings. In this same section we can activate the proximity sensor in case it is not.
The screensaver may be the culprit
Sensor problems can be caused by the screen protector, by holding the phone to our ear and changing the light it receives, a conflict can be created with the protector and not knowing well if we are touching the screen or what is happening. If it did not happen to us before, it will be better to look for a different screen protector that does not generate these failures.
My Xiaomi mobile makes calls while locked
These Xiaomi call problems also occur when the mobile is locked, in our pocket or stored in a backpack. However, here the problem is different and is also related to involuntary touches but in a more complex way.
Use pocket mode
By default MIUI offers a solution to this problem with Xiaomi calls, it is not well known although it is very necessary. Whether we usually carry the mobile in hand, pocket, backpack or some type of compartment, it is advisable to use it. All we have to do is enter Settings> Lock screen> Pocket mode. By activating it we will see how now the sensor is more sensitive and can prevent us from unwanted calls or that take us by surprise.
