A few applications that we have installed on our Huawei mobile, it is easy to receive dozens of notifications. Messaging apps are responsible for constantly appearing, in addition to incoming emails, the weather app or that game that warns of the new update. Not all these notifications are of equal importance, and of course, we do not always have the time or are in the right conditions to see them.
On many occasions it is frustrating to see dozens of unattended notifications in the notification bar. Also, some of them may be important but we cannot see them at any given time. Luckily, Huawei phones with EMUI can delay the most important notifications for later viewing.
In this way, we can, for example, mark those that we do not want to lose and make all the others that we consider less important or that we will not see disappear . This function allows you to “delay” these notifications so that they appear again later. For example, we can select that a WhatsApp message or email disappears from the notification bar but reappears to remind us, after 15 or 30 minutes.
How to delay notifications
This option is not in the mobile settings, but we will have to access it from the notification itself . To do this, we slide the notification bar down and choose the notification that we want to “delay”. Then we slide to the left so that its options appear.
Select the delay time
Now we will see both the options gear and the trash icon. Tapping on the options gear will open a window to manage various options that concern the notifications of that particular app, in this case WhatsApp. Of all of them we must click on “Delay” which is the third starting from the top. Once done, we will see the time options: 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the priority we want to give to the specific notification.
Once the time is selected, click on “accept”. At that time the notification will disappear from the notification bar, but it will reappear after the time we have previously selected. If before that happens, we enter the application that has the postponed notification, a message will notify us of it. We can do this with all the notifications that we have pending. In this way, the most important ones can be marked or delayed so as not to lose sight of them and eliminate all the others without fear.
