If we use our computer regularly for both leisure and work reasons, it is possible that we are constantly saving and deleting all kinds of files. This can cause us to inadvertently delete a file that is of vital importance and we do not know how to recover it. Before you panic, you should know that the file is not deleted in its entirety and that it is possible to recover it using the appropriate program, such as GetDataBack Pro .
GetDataBack Pro, powerful file retriever
GetDataBack Pro is a program designed to recover deleted files. Originally there were the applications of GetDataBack for FAT or GetDataBack for NTFS, which has been completely redesigned and rewritten, becoming GetDataBack Pro. This new version supports NTFS, FAT, exFAT, EXT, HFS + and APFS file systems, being compatible with both for Windows, Linux or Mac OS computers.

This new application has advanced algorithms with which we can recompose any directory or subdirectory as they were, as well as long file names are correctly reconstructed. We can also restore data when the operating system does not recognize the disk.
With this powerful tool we can recover all kinds of files in any situation, whether it is when the data cannot be accessed due to a virus attack, formatting, partitioning or a power or software failure, being compatible with everything type of hard drives, SSD, memory cards or USB stick.

An interface that breaks a good recovery tool
When you run GetDataBack Pro your main menu will appear with a design that is as simple as it is visually unattractive . This interface seems to be taken from a long time ago, being very unintuitive , being far from the programs with more modern, elegant and functional aspects. Also, if we have multiple drives it does not identify them by location or drive name and we cannot easily see what files are in any partition without doing a previous recovery scan.

To recover deleted files, we can choose between four levels of scanning our hard drive. Level 1 and 2 scans are the fastest and are more than enough to find and display deleted files. Levels 3 and 4 are intended for deeper scans, which are usually indicated for hard disk partitions or to recover files after a virus attack.

To begin we must select the hard disk from where we want to recover the file. Once we have selected the hard disk, the program will take care of scanning all its deleted content, being able to scan at any time. Once the scan is finished, two columns will appear. In one with all the folders and files, indicating its name, type, date of access, creation and modification, ID, location, Clusters and sector where it is located. However, given the outdated interface of the program, it is difficult to find out where the files that we want to recover are located.

Download GetDataBack Pro
GetDataBack is only available in a Pro version, from which we can download a free trial version from its website. If we want to use it on a regular basis, we must buy its license that has a cost of $ 79. When you buy it, we will have free lifetime updates . This way, users who previously purchased GetDataBack for FAT, GetDataBack for NTFS, or GetDataBack Simple can use their existing license key for GetDataBack Pro.
Installation is painless and you do not attempt to install any additional software. After its installation it only uses 17 MB of disk space, so it is a fairly compact program, which allows us to install it on a USB stick to scan any computer.
Alternatives to GetDataBack Pro
If we need to recover files deleted by mistake and the GetDataBack interface throws us back, we propose some highly recommended alternatives:
RecoveryRobot Pro
It is an excellent program at the same time powerful, with which we can recover our files, regardless of whether they have been deleted or formatted. It supports all kinds of partitions , including FAT, NTFS, Ext2 and Ext3 volumes, allowing to recover up to 1000 types of files. We can download a free version from their website , which will allow us to recover up to 1 GB of files.
Recuva
It is one of the benchmarks in terms of file recovery tools, being possible to recover deleted, formatted or damaged files, and even emails. It also has the ability to perform an advanced deep scan to recover any traces of deleted files. We can download a free version of Recuva from the Piriform official website .
