Changing the Default Messaging App for Siri

  2. You’ll see the classic Siri animation appear at the bottom of your screen. Following this, you should be prepared to dictate your message.
  3. Siri will initially use the Messages app to compose the message. However, to switch to WhatsApp, you must command Siri accordingly.
  4. You may need to grant Siri access to your WhatsApp contacts if it’s your first time using this feature. Confirm Siri’s access to your WhatsApp contacts.

Alternatively, you can change the default messaging app by interacting with Siri to select WhatsApp. You can do this by clicking the message button on the Siri interface, as seen in the screenshot in the article.
