Our mobiles can suffer many problems, as we see every day on our site. Of all of them, overheating is usually the most dangerous, since it can negatively and irreparably affect some internal hardware components.
However, it is nothing that has no solution or at least prevention. For this reason, we wanted to take a look at several tips and tricks to prevent the phone from getting too hot.
Why does the mobile heat up?
It is not uncommon for the internal components of our device to generate heat. However, when we perceive that the heat is excessive, the danger to the integrity of our mobile is a fact. The battery, processor, or display may be to blame – even a combination of all of these factors. At times of maximum work, it is where these components are most demanded and where the heat generated is greatest.
Ideal temperature
When we talk about heating, we have to be clear that it is normal, some temperature and even notice the hotter mobile in certain circumstances. The reference that we have to keep in mind is that a mobile with a temperature between 47 and 43 degrees falls within what we could consider normal. Beyond those temperatures we should begin to remedy if we do not want to put the device at risk. Downloading software like Aida64 can help us control this temperature by being able to monitor this data in real time.

How to avoid overheating
Caution when playing
Measure with the most demanding games is important. It is a time when more is asked of the smartphone and where there is a greater risk of overheating. To this argument can be added a bad practice such as playing and charging the mobile at the same time. This will accelerate warming, so we must always avoid it.
Screen on time
A good idea is to reduce the screen-on time. There are users who have it established in several minutes and even permanently. In the screen settings, we can set an ideal of 15 or 30 seconds as the maximum screen time on when we are not using the device.
Control brightness
Manually controlling the brightness manually is the best way to prevent the phone from getting hot . Sometimes the automatic brightness does not perform an effective management. Therefore, an excessive brightness when it is not done for too long, can cause the mobile to heat up without sense.

Use original accessories
Using the original charger and cable is essential to avoid possible unwanted heating. Our mobiles have been tested by the manufacturer using the original chargers and cables, which give them the power they need and no more. Many third-party chargers do not do this, and they cause overheating that we can avoid.
Restart or shutdown twice a week
Our terminal needs a break from time to time. Ideally, we can turn it off at least twice a week and for a minimum of 15 minutes at each shutdown. If nomophobia prevents us, we can choose to restart the mobile to be able to close all apps in the background.

The always up-to-date phone
One way to avoid overheating is to keep the mobile always updated, being attentive for any system notifications that arrive in this regard. Many of these updates are patches that fix problems, including those hot spots.

Direct sun exposure
Our mobile must flee from exposure to the direct rays of the sun. If this is not the case and it is something that happens especially in summer , there is no doubt that the terminal will heat up to such an extent that some internal elements could have a really bad time, and experience irreparable damage.
Malware loves to heat up your phone
Malware and viruses are usually the cause of our mobile getting too hot. This is because they run in the background permanently and if we have granted various permissions, they can perform tasks by activating the GPS, monitoring activity, using the camera or microphone and even running other applications. The best way to get rid of doubts is to check for these malicious applications, with the default antivirus that our smartphone integrates. Brands like Huawei, Samsung, OPPO or Vivo integrate their own. If this is not the case, we will always have the option to download an anti-virus tool from Google Play.

Cool down the mobile in case of emergency
Sometimes it is too late and our cell phone is too hot. We can even perceive that the temperature rises without stopping, which can start to be something dangerous. The best procedures to cool down your mobile quickly are as follows:
- Turn off the mobile: hold down the power button for the necessary time until the screen turns off. It is an Android security method to cut the power flow from the battery to the board and to be able to turn off the terminal quickly.
- Remove the charger: remove the mobile from the charging port in case it is charging when the temperature rises, almost at the time of performing the previous step.
- Close the applications: it is useful if for some reason you cannot turn off the device. Close all background apps from the multitask button.
- Remove case or casing : This is a good way to cool the device. Remove any case or shell that you have as a complement to the previous steps and to facilitate ventilation.
Put it in the fridge?
You will think that we have forgotten this “trick” in the previous tips. The truth is that it is not at all advisable to put the mobile in the fridge when it has overheated. Sudden temperature changes are a great enemy of some hardware elements such as the battery. It may be a quick method in cases of maximum urgency to try to lower the temperature before the hob can burn, but as we say, it is somewhat risky and is not recommended.
