It is usual that except for some surprises, practically all Samsung smartphones are leaked before launch. When it is not the company itself due to “error”, it is the leakers or the certification bodies that put us on the track of the models that are about to come out. The Galaxy M01s has been no less, but now we have just left any doubt, since the new cheap mobile from Samsung has been officially presented.

As usual with the Galaxy M family, the new M01s has been introduced in India, where the brand has a strong presence and struggles hard to compete with Chinese rivals such as Realme or Xiaomi . The Galaxy M01s arrives as a very cheap mobile phone but with enough technical features to seduce a large number of users who do not need anything more powerful.
Galaxy M31s: technical characteristics
HD screen and notch
It was last month when the standard Galaxy M01 was unveiled, but Samsung did not take long to unveil this variant, which comes with more screen and some additions such as the fingerprint scanner. The terminal has a 6.2-inch TFT LCD panel with HD + resolution and a drop-shaped notch.

MediaTek brain
Inside we find a MediaTek Helio P22 processor, a classic in the entry range, which is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, as the only available memory option. This capacity can be increased using microSD cards up to 512 GB.
Dual rear camera
In the back there is a double camera with a 13 megapixel main sensor and f / 1.8 aperture and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. On its front and housed in the notch, it has an 8 megapixel selfie sensor.

Connections, battery and SO
As we say, the terminal has a rear fingerprint sensor and comes with basic connections such as Bluetooth 4.2 or GPS, but without a trace of NFC . Its battery is 4,000 mAh without fast charge and it moves with Android 9 Pie, with the OneUI layer.

Price and date of sale
The terminal has been put up for sale in India at a price of Rs 9,999, which is about 116 euros in exchange . It is available in gray and blue colors. At the moment we do not know Samsung’s plans for possible international commercialization, but it would certainly be a good bet in the lower price range.
