Data rates are getting bigger. Operators already offer unlimited data rates, something that until recently was impossible to think about. This means that on many occasions we forget to activate the Wi-Fi when we are at home or not be afraid to listen to music or watch videos, since the fear that data will run out is something that goes away day by day.

Precisely for this reason, when the data network fails and we are not under a Wi-Fi connection , we will quickly notice that we have stopped receiving notifications, that we cannot navigate or that our games do not connect to the server. OPPO mobiles are not free of this problem either, which can arise at any time and can have several possible causes and solutions.
Data cannot be used
Check the mobile signal
The first step is to check the phone’s signal strength. To do this we must look at the signal icon in the status bar . If we are in a weak signal area, we must change the location and try again.
- 2G / 3G weak signal: signal strength is 0-2 bars.

- Weak 4G signal: the up and down arrows of the “4G” icon do not light.

Restart the mobile
Restarting the mobile can be successful in the event that there is a conflict that is occurring with an app in the background. In this case we will have to leave the power button pressed and click on restart. When the mobile is switched on again, the network will register again, so the problem may disappear.
Take out the SIM card
In this case we will have to remove the SIM card and reinsert it , since sometimes it may be due to a problem in its placement. On many occasions the card can move after a fall and the reading of the card cannot be detected correctly.

In network settings
To try to solve the problem, we must verify certain aspects of the network configuration of our OPPO mobile, which may be interfering with the data network.
- Check that Airplane Mode is not activated
- Disconnect VPN connections
- Go to Settings / Sim and mobile network / Mobile data and activate the box. Then we go to Settings / Wi-Fi and turn off this connection.
- Update the APN: we must go to Settings / Sim and mobile network / Preferred network type touch on “Update APN with network activated”
Reset Network Settings
If the steps above don’t work, it’s best to perform a carrier network settings reset. For that we go to Settings / Dual Sim and mobile network / SIM card information / Reset defaults.
Other solutions to the problem
Data limit activated?
In many cases it is possible that the problem is due to leaving the mobile data limitation activated . It is something very common although it seems obvious, it is something that we must check if all of the above has failed. For this, we go to Settings / Mobile networks / Data limit and deactivate the option.
The carcass as culprit
It is known that a protective case can contain metal and interfere with the antenna of the device, which can cause the problem as the network could lose power to receive the data signal . In this case it is recommended to use a protective case that does not contain metal, although we must first remove it to check if the data returns to normal. If so, we will have already found the cause of the problem.

Close all background apps
On many occasions, all the apps that are in the background can consume network resources, including if we are making downloads. This limits the width of our mobile data network and greatly limits its speed. To do this, we must touch the multitasking button and close all the apps in the background. It is very possible that after doing this the data will go back to the same way it started.
Reset to factory settings
When everything fails and in order to restore any configuration or installation that has affected the data network, we must return our OPPO to the initial factory settings. To do this, we will have to go to Settings / Additional settings / Backup and restart / Factory data reset.
