Of course, Microsoft is not quite right when it comes to updates to its operating system. Every time the company releases a new patch, security or quality, for its operating system, it doesn’t take long for users to start reporting all kinds of problems and bugs with it. Last week, Microsoft released the KB4580364 patch for all Windows 10 20H1 and 20H2 users, a patch that corrected a significant number of bugs and bugs. However, from the looks of it, it also introduced new bugs in the operating system.
This update has reached May and October 2020 Update users as an optional update. As it is a quality patch, and not a security patch, we must decide whether or not we want to install the new update on the PC through Windows Update.

Initially, the update seemed to go smoothly, and the bugs it fixed seemed to be fixed correctly. However, after seeing the bugs and problems that people are reporting, it is still better to wait.
The two bugs that we are going to see below have already been confirmed by Microsoft. This means that the company is already working on a solution, which could come soon to solve these new problems (and who knows, it could even introduce some new ones).
The latest Windows 10 update blocks the internet
The first of the errors that affects users who install the KB4580364 patch is a bug that blocks the Internet connection in the strangest way.
Many users are finding that when opening certain apps from the Microsoft Store the Internet connection is cut. This failure is reproduced both with games and with much more everyday apps, such as Spotify, Office and even when opening the Windows application store itself.
It is not known exactly why this failure occurs. Some users claim that it is related to VPN connections , while others indicate that it is a critical error in the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI). Either way, users are left offline.
There are also users who claim to have problems connecting to VPN networks from Windows. The issues range from completely blocking the connection to disconnections and even seeing an authentication dialog that incorrectly prompts for credentials and thus causes a network outage.
Problems with broken start menu tiles
Another of the errors that seems to be affecting Windows 10 users who have installed that last optional patch is related to the tiles of the applications anchored to the start menu. If we have many of these tiles anchored, surely we have seen more than one that, instead of having its icon, or showing the information it should show, these Live Tiles appear dimmed, with a progress bar and a message “update of the application in progress “, although it is not actually being updated.
Microsoft is already working on solving these two problems as soon as possible, as well as other bugs that, little by little, have come to light in recent days, such as that the sleep mode does not work, or that the function of resetting the PC does not update the system.
These fixes, and many others, will likely reach all users next week, coinciding with Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday and its new security patches.
