Be careful, before we start, we warn you that there are important SPOILERS and that if you haven’t seen the movie, stop immediately, we don’t want to ruin your experience when you go see it at the cinema. Well, we begin the review of those Easter Eggs with one of the most interesting that has to do with one of the villains of this film. We are talking about the moment where a criminal asks a key question: who is Batman?, to which he replies «Revenge, a phrase that is taken from the graphic novel Batman The Earth One , in a direct confrontation of the super hero with the Penguin.

Another interesting easter egg can be seen on Mitchell’s wall, where you can see a glimpse of a newspaper, the “Gotham Gazzete” which is one of the main media that appears in comics since it was released back in the fourth installment of the Batman comics. Another of the surprises, or rather inspirations on which the film is based, takes us back to Batman: The Long Halloween , and that is that not only does the story begin on Halloween, in a clear wink, but much of the aesthetic is adopted of that delivery.

Also the Enigma cards have a lot to say and actually hide another of these eggs. Since in each of those greeting cards that he leaves in each of his crimes, references to the different villains would be hidden, such as Hugo Strange or the Court of Owls, something that undoubtedly contains a message in itself in which some fans even see a preview of future villains for the following installments of this new universe of Matt Reeves’ Batman.

The Joker is another of the protagonists of what has also been considered, in part, as an Easter egg. And it is that this character played by Barry Keoghan could return and have a more important role in the next installments of The Batman . His particular laugh and the way he speaks from prison has led many to speculate that we will have him in the next film that Warner is supposedly already projecting for the next few years.

selina kyle
One of the most interesting Easter Eggs has to do with Selina Kyle (Catwoman), the character that Zoë Kravitz embodies , and that in an important twist reveals that she is the daughter of a villain in this universe: neither more nor less than Carmine Falcone , the result of an old relationship between the mobster and María Kyle.
The Batman is a film that is full of references and nods to the comics, something that we cannot consider as authentic Easter Eggs but that play their role as fanservice for the millions of viewers who are coming to the theaters to enjoy the new movies. Dark Knight Adventures.
