Logitech has a new mechanical keyboard

Logitech’s range of peripherals for professionals and content creators has just been updated with new products. After the best-selling Logitech MX Master 3, the brand has just announced its replacement, the MX Master 3S mouse. And the new mouse will not come alone, as it will be accompanied by two new mechanical keyboards , which go beyond the gaming barrier and are now intended for digital creators.

With just a few brushstrokes, Logitech has made its flagship product even better. The MX Master 3S retains many features of its predecessor, such as its design or the layout of the buttons. However, everything that is not seen has been updated, starting with its optical sensor, which now doubles its capabilities and goes up to 8,000 DPI . According to Logitech, with this new generation of sensors we will be able to use the peripheral on any surface, even on glass. We will notice this change especially if we use high-resolution screens, since the pointer will not need to jump and we will obtain greater precision in the click.

And speaking of click, Logitech has made the switches on this mouse now 90% quieter than on the MX Master 3 , ensuring you can focus on your work.

Regarding autonomy, this new mouse can last up to 70 days of use with a single charge . However, if you need to charge it quickly, with just one minute of charging you will have enough battery for 3 hours of use.

Logitech has mechanical keyboards in its huge product range, but until now, products in the MX family, which are geared toward productivity, have had to make do with membrane keyboards.

According to Logitech, more and more home and professional users are demanding mechanical models after experiencing good sensations in the field of gaming. And that has been the seed for its new two mechanical keyboards: the MX Mechanical and the MX Mechanical Mini .

Both proposals feature low-profile mechanical switches. It will be sold with three types of switches:

  • Brown – Touch type, the quietest of all, and the model to buy for distraction-free typing.
  • Blue : clicky type, ideal for writing because of the feedback we receive when pressing the keys.
  • Red : linear type.

Both models have low-profile keys, differing only in key layout. The MX Mechanical is a full keyboard, while the Mini is a tenkeyless version. They feature a backlight with six brightness levels with an ambient light sensor to turn off the light and conserve power for increased efficiency. They work wirelessly via Bluetooth connectivity, but can also be connected to the computer via a USB-C cable, which we will also use to recharge its battery.

Prices, availability and compatibility

These three products will go on sale in less than a week, specifically on June 1 . The prices will be the following:

  • Logitech MX Master 3S mouse: 135 euros
  • Logitech MX Mechanical keyboard: 202 euros

Both the mouse and the two keyboards are compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. The user experience can be configured using the Logi Options+ software , which is currently in beta.
