Our mobile operators increasingly offer bigger bonuses, so little by little we are losing the fear of leaving the data on. However, Huawei mobiles may experience data problems , but luckily we have several solutions in this regard.
There are many factors that can influence our data to start causing problems. But the clearest signs are the loss of connection, whether intermittent or permanent, or a slow transmission of data. Reset APN settings
The APN configuration is the parameters that the SIM card uses to connect to the mobile data service of our operator . Sometimes they may not be configured correctly or become corrupted, making the data connection impossible and problems will start.
Our Huawei mobile can obtain this data automatically from our network provider, for this we go to Settings / Wireless and networks / Mobile networks / APN. Now we just have to click on “Default values” and restart the mobile. The problem should be solved.
Deactivate data
This solution allows the terminal to need to connect to the network again and can receive the necessary credentials that may be preventing its correct operation. It is something like the “turn off and on” of life, which will force the network antennas to connect again. For this we go to Settings / Wireless Connections and networks / Mobile networks / Mobile data. Now we will have to deactivate the option, wait at least 10 seconds and activate it again.
Do you have the data limit activated?
Consciously or unintentionally, the limitation may be due to leaving mobile data activated. It is very common and the first thing that specialist technicians recommend to review to rule out major problems. For this we go to Settings / Mobile networks / Data limit and deactivate the option.
Check Manager / Optimizer
In this case and to try to fix the problem using another solution, we will have to enter the “Manager / Optimizer” application to verify some settings. First, we must click on “Network access” and check that the relevant permissions have been granted to the applications that need to access the mobile data. In other words, the problem may be isolated from a single application (WhatsApp for example), but the rest may connect without problems. If so, we will have a permission acceptance problem that we can solve from here.
The second option requires us to control the Data Saver or Smart Data Saver . If so, applications running in the background will not be able to use mobile data and the problem may stem from these functions. If the battery is not our priority, we must deactivate these two options to continue connecting to the data network without interruption problems.
Other reasons to consider
- Wi-Fi Plus : If not enabled, mobile data does not take effect when the phone connects to a Wi-Fi network.
- VoLTE technology : Mobile data service is not available during a call that does not correspond to VoLTE technology.
- Non-payment on the SIM: the operator may prevent the phone from using mobile data in the case of non-payment.
- On a trip: If we are traveling in a different country or region, please contact your mobile service operator to see if the data roaming service is available where you are and if the SIM card is activated. the international roaming service.

Try another SIM

Close all apps in the background
In many occasions, all the apps that are in the background can consume network resources , including if we are making downloads.
