Changing the mobile language is essential for many users. We know that the initial configuration of a terminal allows this, but it may be necessary to do so once the language is already configured and selected in the system. Luckily it is one of the simplest settings on Android and that we can modify in a matter of seconds.
Our mobiles have many customization options, but if there is one common to all and that goes back to its origins, it is the possibility of changing the language. It is very common when you buy a second-hand mobile and the owner had a different language than ours. There are even reconditioned mobiles that can arrive with the system started and in another language. We may even want to change languages from time to time for the sake of temporary pleasure. Whatever the case, let’s see how to change it easily.
Change mobile language
The good news is that this is an important enough feature that it is not too hidden in the system options. On Android phones, we can find it in the Settings menu and then entering Languages and text input . However, it is possible that in some terminals we have to go one step further and it is located within Settings / System / Language and text input. Another step to find the function quickly is to type “language” in the search box within the Settings menu.

System-level language
Once inside we will see the available languages. In this case we may only have one selected, so we will need to add a new language. Just click on “Add language” to access the list available on our device. Once the desired language has been marked, it will become part of the system languages. If in the previous screen, we select it as the main one, the language of the entire mobile will change, including the apps, which have your language and whose parameters are adapted to the system language. If this is not the case within each of them, you may or may not find the option to change the language.

Remove languages
Maybe once the new language has been selected, we will find out about some of the previous ones that the system had installed. To do this, click on the trash icon or click on the language and click on “remove”, then we confirm the selection and delete the unwanted language.

Change languages quickly
Unfortunately there is no method or shortcut to change the language. This would be very useful for all those users who change languages continuously, for whatever reason. However, we may use a third-party development for this purpose.

The solution is to install a widget that allows direct access to the language change menu . This will avoid, as we say, having to dive through menus and sub-menus to access the function. We can download the widget from this link . Once installed, we must click on an empty space on the desktop and click on widgets. Next we select the new language changer widget and drag it to the desktop. By pressing it we will directly access the change of languages.
Why doesn’t my language appear?
It may also happen that our language does not appear in the list of those available. This does not happen when we buy a terminal in our country, but it is very common when we buy a terminal from another market such as Asia. In this sense, it is easy for a mobile phone to only have Chinese, English and several languages from Southeast Asia. Luckily we also have applications , which allow you to change the language at the system level. There are quite a handful of these tools on Google Play. If the mobile is rooted we will not have a problem, since it is enough to run the app and change the language. Otherwise, we will have to weigh whether or not it compensates us to root the mobile with the risks that this entails.
