The folding ones continue to make their way between the classic smartphone and Honor joins the options. With a book type terminal, reminding us of what the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 or the OPPO Find N offers us. Since the Honor brand separated from Huawei in order to continue offering Google applications, a lot of things have changed and more than it does with this launch of a flagship.
The meeting took place in China, where the brand has detailed everything the Honor Magic V offers in terms of features. Choose to incorporate it into the Magic series, which usually boasts of being the most advanced of the brand and it is no wonder, because we are going to have the opportunity to turn the mobile into practically a tablet just by folding it.

Best for the first Honor foldable
As for the equipment that this model offers us, there are no problems to put it, since the first thing that catches our attention is its design with a premium style thanks to the aluminum finishes that make it stand out. But the focus is on its screen, the external one is 6.45 inches with OLED technology and 1,000 nits of maximum brightness in an aspect ratio of 21: 9, but once deployed we have inside a large full screen of 7.9 inches . The latter with a 10: 9 ratio and a maximum brightness of 800 nits.
Both panels with an improved refresh rate to use it at full speed in games or before any need. The external display with 90 Hz and the largest and internal with 120 Hz, both with HDR 10+ technology. The curvature is maintained throughout the smartphone at its ends to make it totally ergonomic. But we cannot ignore its folding area, where it is promised not to notice the slightest indentation as we have seen on other occasions. In addition, Honor has highlighted that the closure between both screens is complete, shaping a T, which helps protect the screen.

Inside, the Honor Magic V will move thanks to Qualcomm’s best processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. It will be accompanied by memory options with 12 GB of RAM along with 256 or 512 GB of storage. There will be practically nothing missing in its connectivity, with the 5G per flag along with NFC, fingerprint sensor on the side of the device, ambient light sensor, Bluetooth 5.2 and all GPS positioning systems.
The battery is another of the key points of the folding, which is equipped with 4,750 mAh to give life to its screens, it does so along with a 66W fast charge. As for the software, this model releases Magic UI 6 , the new version of Honor’s own layer, along with Android 12. However, they have not given details about the integration of Google apps.

In the cameras it does not lower the level, with a triple 50 Mpx sensor , although each one specialized and focused on achieving results. The first of them showing off detail, with f / 1.9 aperture to capture lots of light even in the most difficult situations. We will also have a wide angle and a telephoto lens that points very far, reaching a 5x zoom. In addition to a ToF sensor with which to achieve the best focus and at high speed.
