When it comes to generating images based on textual descriptions, various options, both free and paid, are at our disposal. Among the paid options, two noteworthy choices are Midjourney and DALL-E, the latter being an AI creation from OpenAI—the same company behind ChatGPT.
OpenAI recently unveiled DALL-E 3, a significant upgrade to its AI image generator that operates based on textual descriptions. This latest iteration offers substantial improvements over DALL-E 2, empowering users to let their imaginations run wild in obtaining a diverse array of images.

A standout feature of this new version is its ability to seamlessly incorporate text into the generated images. In contrast, the previous version struggled to integrate text effectively, often resulting in arbitrary, unrelated symbols and characters being included.
Much like the recent Midjourney update, DALL-E 3 excels at comprehending natural language. This means users are not required to construct prompts as if they were crafting telegrams, punctuating them with commas or hyphens. This advancement ensures that all users can harness the full potential of DALL-E without needing prior knowledge of the specific commands required to interact with AI.

Furthermore, DALL-E 3 introduces a restriction: it will not accept instructions to emulate the style of artists who are still alive. Additionally, it integrates seamlessly with the paid version of ChatGPT. This integration allows users to employ ChatGPT to compose prompts for image generation without the need to visit the DALL-E website.
Starting in October, users will be able to modify the generated images by specifying, through text, which aspects of the image they wish to alter—a feature that enhances image customization.

Bing Chat, Microsoft‘s AI platform, is built upon OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Similarly, Bing Image, Microsoft’s image creation platform that operates on textual descriptions, is based on OpenAI’s DALL-E.
Thanks to this integration, users can harness the capabilities of the new DALL-E 3 without requiring a separate checkout process. Moreover, in a matter of days, ChatGPT Plus will enable image generation directly within the platform. This functionality will also be accessible through Bing Chat. Some users have already had the opportunity to test it, and it will soon become available to all users.
To utilize the enhanced functionality of ChatGPT, Bing Chat, and Bing Image for image generation, users can simply employ natural language as they currently do with DALL-E and Bing Image, exploring the new features offered by this latest version of OpenAI’s AI for image generation.
